MSI, the worldwide high-end graphics card and professional motherboard brand-manufacturer, today proudly announced a new series of audio products - Syren series. As the name, the dreaming sound of Syren can hypnotize every person that she wants to. The person who is hypnotized can't help falling in the dreaming sound, feeling comfortable and satisfied. This is the most important feature of Syren series: "dreaming sound." The latest Syren series products include "SyrenSound X-Fi" high-end sound card, "SyrenPhone Gaming" professional gaming Headphone, and "SyrenSpeaker mini" Mini-Q speaker, targeting the user who seeks for pure and clear sound.

MSI SyrenSound X-Fi sound card
MSI SyrenSound X-Fi sound card is powered by Creative Audio Processor CA0110, optimized for PCI Express to deliver accelerated audio for improved game performance. It supports X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity Audio technology to restore the original sound from the compressed MP3 to provide the more realistic sound and to create the virtual surround sound in games or music. Furthermore, MSI SyrenSound X-Fi is compatible with EAX Advanced HD 4.0 to deliver environmental sound with higher quality and better gaming sound!

SyrenPhone Gaming USB digital gaming Headphone
MSI SyrenPhone Gaming headphone uses golden-plated USB interface to eliminate noise from the on-board audio and to deliver better and more accurate sound quality. To meet the request of professional gamers to comfort, MSI SyrenPhone Gaming chooses the adjustable head band and soft ear pads to minimize uncomfortable feeling. Besides, MSI SyrenPhone adopts the uni-directional microphone that can do noise reduction up to 100Hhz, providing the best communication quality. More than that, the In-Line volume control function is included so that the user can change the volume directly through the function in games.

SyrenSpeaker mini USB speakers
MSI SyrenSpeaker mini speaker is a compact size stereo speaker with the futurist design. By using USB interface and digital (class D) amplifier to transmit more pure sound signal, MSI SyrenSpeake mini can deliver the higher Efficiency / Eco and better sound quality compared to the standard speakers, and the user doesn't need to find the power socket to run the speaker, especially for the notebook user who wants to have a nice looking speaker with mini size and good sound quality, MSI SyrenSpeaker mini will be a great choice.

That SyrenSound card is the same thing MSI packs with its high-end motherboards. It's as good as X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E (no CA20K audio processor, no EAX 5.0).

the MSI SyrenSound X-fi sounds just like the ones asus have, which are basically realtek chips with the X-Fi MB software.

Both MSI SyrenSound X-Fi and ASUS SupremeFX X-Fi use Creative CA0110 audio chip. It's with motherboards such as ASUS Rampage II Gene, and MSI P6N Diamond, where the two used CODECs backed by Creative software.

alright, wasnt aware asus had one of each.

Uhm, no, MSI has the low-end X-Fi chips, Asus uses a software patch, just like Gigabyte, although Asus generally use Analog Device while Gigabyte relies on Realtek chips. The ADI chips should in theory be slightly better than the Realtek ones.

I don't know You guys, but i'm stick with my old creative audio stuff... I don't think that MSI audio solutions could by as good as products of brands that do this from long time...

the syren mini speakers sound good (pun not intended) as a replacement for my hp mini's speakers

more under-par product from msi :(

using my audigy 2 zs till it dies

If it sounds anywhere near as good as my X-Fi with X-Fi Crystalizer turned on then :rockout: for anyone who gets one lol

OFF TOPIC :wtf:I find it strange that asus still uses those software x-fi's on their motherboards when they have the xonar?

???
So the come with an gaming soundcard...and an headset that uses USB...wtf

it is pci-e x1 card so if we want compare it with asus we should compare it with xonar , the on board sound is same right not only asus and msi even gigabyte release the driver of x-fi sound

I wanna see how the X-fi card performs as well as the headsets in the eyes of a critic.

i assume they'd get a terrible score. they belong in the critics EARS.

OT warning:

lol. You're on a pretty good smartass streak lately. I think we should call you Banjo Jr from now on. :D

Xonars from ASUS are based on C-MEDIA chipsets.

It is the same exact card that MSI ships with their X58 Eclipse, which sounds worst than the X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E due to MSI using cheap components, no joke, Its based on the CA0110 so it can't do any hardware processing so MSI is lying on their site.

not worth it

the xonar would crap all over it

and the X-Fi MB drivers on the ASUS boards sound better than Gigabytes because Gigabyte only really uses realtek and ASUS uses only ADI on theirs for the X-Fi MB and the ADI codecs have cleaner audio
