Editors choice even though this is the most disrespectful product that has been released in decades.

Is it there by default or something? I don't get it.
Care to elaborate? I review products not model numbers, we all know it’s 42775575455x more expensive than gtx 270 ti
 
this basically means that the 4070 (non tie) will be about the same speed as a 3080 and will cost the same amount of money as the 3080 did at launch (before tariffs) and still costs now.
 
@W1zzard The table in the overclocking section shows a max memory clock of 1312 MHz but the GPU-z screenshot shows a memory clock of 1500 MHz. Considering it doesn't have the lowest performance in the table, I assume this is an error, but can you confirm?
 
I mean, at this price point this card must only appeal to Ray tracing fanatics who also can't afford to spend more and are fine with 1440p best case scenario for 1 or 2 years when it's already outdated.

Yeah, should be 1500, I looked at the wrong GPU-Z readout field when I typed the table

No, I meant that in 1-2 years the card will have a price equivalent and lower which will offer much better performance in all scenarios. What I meant by referencing 1440p is that if it struggles with that now in comparison to older cards(3090) and a little more expensive cards(7900 XT and XTX), in 1-2 years it won't manage to keep up even at this resolution given its memory and predicted generational leap.

The comparison with the 3090 doesn't hold up.
The 3080 was half the price and 10% cheaper.
It is clear that that is the price for the top, moreover with double the VRAM.

Yet the good comparison with the 3080 and the probable smooth 4070 had already shown you: Couldn't you digest it?

Yeah, I know of the MSRP, obviously the 3090, 3080, 6900 and 6800 aren't worth buying anymore given the current models, but that still makes 3090 the best future proof option for someone who already has it showing that there isn't any generational leap if you aren't going to buy the top model from either AMD or NVIDIA. Also, you can easily get a 3090, even 3090 TI second hand at the same price as the 4070, even lower if you're lucky and still in warranty, so selling yours to will barely get you a 4070 TI. The MSRP should be comparable to that of 3070 TI. Also, there is no 4070 TI below 840$ MSRP yet.
 
I have this exact model, but I am unsure about the power consumption in idle. First two values or only the first one means whole GPU wattage? Review says 17 watts, while I see only 8, unless first two values have to be added.

Someone can clarify please?
