Not sure yet, updating pricing and text all the time is complicated for so many reviews .. let's wait a bit and see what happens.

Well looking at the new article @W1zzard has posted you are certainly CPU limited, wait for the 5800X3D update and go from there!

5800x3d update? You mean reviews with it? Or is there any update coming for cpu, firmware wise?

I mean W1zz will test a 5800X3D with a 4090 at some point soon, worth waiting to check out the results.

Just read this, wow what an article. Such wonderful work, really looking forward to the 5800x3d test. Hopefully he does that before fast ram.

I managed to get this at 1750 euro, which, considering the MSRP, Europe tax and the premium model, was a good deal. I was in the market for the best of the best from both companies, and AMD's 7900 XTX with its issues and insane price of 1700 euro here in Europe, for the Sapphire Nitro model, was a no-go. But this, this was a great purchase.

I love this thing. "Suprimely" quiet, runs cool with the silent BIOS, handles 450W just fine and there is almost NO coil whine compared to my previous ASUS 6900 XT TUF which screamed when the power draw went above 250W. Best graphics card I've ever owned, in all areas, easily.

Benchmark Scores I got some numbers.
I had a bit from time to time early on. Nothing crazy, and it was under particular loads that are typical for setting it off (very high fps). I tend to set an fps limit in the drivers after first launching, so it was the first launch of a couple of older titles that was pushing out thousands of fps.

Dont think Ive heard anything at all from it this year.

Sorry to touch such an old post. I have the Liquid cooled Suprim version and am contemplating using a full coverage water block instead of the stock MSI water block. There appear to be a number of candidates (so called Trio blocks) that would work. I have not as yet torn my card down to inspect/repaste etc. so I do not have access to certain mechanical details. In looking at the top PCB image, it is evident that four connectors are rendered inaccessible by all available aftermarket blocks. The two connectors at bottom edge between fiducial MEC7 & MEC14 (names obscured) are surely PWM fan connectors for the distinctly controlled card/rad fans. There are two connectors near top edge between MEC3 & MEC2 (possibly J8 and J10). Perhaps both of these controls are for RGB (overkill!) but I wonder if one of them is a pump power/modulation source? I suppose that the pump could be operated by a fan PWM but that could mean the pump shuts down (when fans do) which seems unlikely. Does anyone know the inteded usage of the top edge connectors?

I would like to use the existing MSI fan/pump controls since I assume that card BIOS has logic that will do a reasonble job of controlling these (even though an after market block might exhibit somewhat different thermal behavior). I would rather not rely on iCue/ArmouryCrate/FanControl/... since these are not available with Linux. The MOBO Bios does a very competent job of managing the fans/pump for CPU (water cooled) but has no access to graphics card temps. If the card fan/pump controls are not accessible I'd need some other control software, but I am a doubtful that anything acvaialble for Linux would match the existing GPU BIOS.

From the images it appears that the PWM connectors at bottom of card are sufficiently far from the coolant path to be rendered accessible via judicious machining of any of the available aftermarket blocks. But the top edge (RGB?) connectors are too near the coolant flow path and not similarly accessible (except maybe via a ribbon cable?). If the latter are strictly for RGB, then I don't care too much. But if one of these offers pump modulation I might care since conceivably the GPU bios behaves differently if it sees zero pump/fan rpm. There is an Alphacool Trio block (AIO-like) including a pump that would be something of a match though I am leaning towards the EK Trio block with the active backplate. Chances are that the GPU will have a seperate loop.

its way more better than Asus Strix has.
My Suprim liquid at present has no whine that can be heard outside of the case/chassis. Not in any game nor running furmark, OCCT thermal stress whatever. My system is NOT on my desk at ear level where such noise would be most noticeable. However, I initially ran it in an open test bench (to verify functioanlity) at desk level, next to the monitor (i.e., at ear level) and heard no whine. I wonder if coil whine is more down to card sample to sample variation than card brand/model.

Does it still make sense to get this card now?
I'm thinking about upgrading from my 3080 (also MSI Suprim X). Running with Ryzen 9 5950X, ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING.
Also, I see that a 850W power supply was used in the test. Is it enough? I also have a 850W. The manufacturer's page recommends a 1000W PSU, with 850W minimum.

If you can afford this, you'll be able to afford the 5090, which should come in the next 5-6 months. 3080 should last you until then.

I preferred the double-slot width MSI Geforce RTX4090 Suprim Liquid X instead.
The overall performance is acceptable.
