Finally the fully unlocked GK 110 arrives :toast:

Review please.

Interesting, no formal reviews or details about this launch...

Announced with next to no fanfare....

I understand some things, like the Nexus 5 being released without any fuss because that's what Google do. But Nvidia releasing their most complete GK110 without any reviews on NDA lift?

It's either rushed out (very likely) or under performs (possible, compared to uber 290X).

Seems so...

I'm just interested in the heat, noise, and power consumption of this crazy contraption. I knew GK110 was the superior GPU, but does it come with the same sacrifice AMD was willing to make? Lets burn the midnight oil, and get to benchmarking :rockout:

After 3 years of sandbagging, the true successor of GTX 580 finally arrives.

Might get this to replace my 6950, only if it's quieter and less hotter than the 290x (i'm fussy about that)

Either this or non-reference 290x (whenever they come out)

Just get a 290 (non X) and save the rest for water cooling. Or get a 780 if Nvidia drops its price to $399.

Not everybody wants to watercool you know(nor should they have to for that matter)... And not everybody has the case for it either.

Even if he doesn't want to watercool, spending 150 bucks extra for the 290X is not a good idea.

NDA lifts at 6am PST (4hrs 30mins)

The only concern or issue I have seen so far is the card still throttles @ 60% fan speed in the benchmarks leaks.

Termal limits might still be 85C and 95C for safety.

At a few watts less full load than a 290x , just as loud and scarcely equal performance at 150 notes more im not surprised at the silence.

Ah, I see. Confused by the MSI announcement.

3 way SLI? So I guess the world records will still belong to AMD's quad fire 290x

Overprized. 3 GB VRAM is still a bad joke. Thanks God AMD made some concurrence. Nvidia became too arrogant and self-satisfied since the Titan-mania.

@mojo, get over your high horse, i still prefer to pay premium to nvidia and have an all around good card than amd (if only ATI never agreed to be bought by amd maybe things would had been different for ATI, like in the 9800 era).

Pleased with my 290, haven't touched the voltage yet and got 1100mhz on the core stable, it really does overclock like crazy. Plus I'm amazed by just how smooth the game play is in all my games!

So looks like this 780ti will have to out perform an OC'd 290 by some way to peek my interest

What's wrong with 3GB vram?
