MSI Launches the Big Bang-XPower II X79 Motherboard

Impressive design !

Hey man you got some bullets in your case FTW

I don't see why they need so many pci's They know people buying this MB are going to be using dual slot cards they should just space them out better and get rid of some of the slots and those bullets rune the whole MB. I Like the black.

I want to do a All black build or it would be sweet to do a All White build with maybe Blue or little bit of black mixed in!

I want one... $560 US? WOW

they made it for people like me running 3 or more cards, I'd love to use a revodrive, but all my slots are blocked, taken up, or stupid old school pci. :(

The "gamer" theme sucks, if they made it look like the x58 x-power, then it would have looked a lot better, imo.

With most mobo companies going with a maximum of 6 slots on their "high-end" boards it's nice to see MSI giving out the full complement of 7 - with all of them being PCIe.

And then they ruin it with fugly heatsinks.

Maybe EK will make some water blocks to replace those ugly things

THAT is one sexy MOFO.

Ugh, I blame Gigabyte for trending those hideous bullet/gun/magazine style heatsinks. Otherwise that thing looks amazing and if they wanted to inject some color, why not use gold caps instead of the lame bullets...:shadedshu

MSI can be very Unreliable

I have to buy my Intel stuff in stages. I like this board but I would have to buy the Processor first because MSI can sell some Dead boards sometimes. When they work they are great. But I have to go through two before I get one that works. When at first you don't succeed RMA it... again.
:banghead:

All the guys designing Gigabyte and MSI mobo surely never visit a site like TPU.
What we have next? A mini-Tank-like heatsink?
Oh, I see...why don't we slap a mini-hand-grenade as a heatsink? It'll look absolutely cool.
Yeah....

just stop doing this plz, whoever thinks it's awesome needs to be sent to the woodshed.
