Gonna be copy-pasta for a while, until any innovations show up.

yeah the factories for OLED paneling for all devices are already maxed out. I have a strong feeling the smartphone market will begin to decline heavily though, and that will free up some production logistics for the OLED materials.

LG C2 and C1 OLED's have done a great job of staying in stock as well, so the supply chain does seem good for it all. still... the way the world is going, better safe than sorry, I am probably going to get a LG OLED sooner rather than later... cause yolo

You won't be disappointed with the C1. I'd say it's more versatile than the C2, because it has BFI at 120Hz, which clears up all blur. It's really underrated for retro-emulation and scrolling games in general.

I was under the impression that OLED is so fast in gray to gray transitions, that blur really isn't an issue anyway?

@R-T-B @nguyen any clarification on this would be welcome.

Basically Black Frame Insertion is there to reduce the blur in our vision, not the display

Blur is not. However due to the near instant speeds, judder can become a factor, which BFI helps at if it bothers you.

I honestly do not get bothered by judder unless FPS is under 40 or so, and even then it's not horrid.

At least with the C1, sample and hold still blurs 1-2 pixels, so definitely not as bad as LCD tech but it's still there. BFI clears it all up, if you care about complete motion clarity. I was disappointed when I first got my C1 -- did the motion tests right away on TestUFO and found that OLED still blurs, despite all the rave that it doesn't.

I almost wonder if there is something wrong with the power delivery from your wall possibly, or a bad panel? Every review I have seen shows the UFO test being flawless on C1 OLED.

The official press release, still no mention of inputs.
It seems like it'll get a companion app...

I think it's more a human eye variation thing. Instrument readings show it to be flawless but a human eye may see it as retained for longer than it actually is. BFI "tricks" the eye into resetting the image.

Either way it's pretty damn fast that we ever are debating what exactly causes it like this. Material science can't even entirely explain it, so we have to look at biology. That's pretty wild.

These two - Alienware and this new MSI looks like ideal ultrawides. High refresh, HDR, good colors. HWUnboxed gave the Alienware a recommendation for current best ultrawide.

However, with coming GPUs, I'm now waiting for 1600p ultrawide. 1440p is not relevant to me anymore. Somebody please manufacture such good 1600p UW as these two 1440p.

Since this is the same panel as the alienware it will come with the same text fringing issue(for some its not a problem). But I do expect lower pricing.

This is a very good video. thanks for posting.
