MSI, the world leading motherboard brand, is proudly to release BIOS updates to support the upcoming AMD Raven Ridge processors, including AMD Athlon 200GE, 220GE, and 240GE APUs. The updated BIOS version is prepared to support the future AMD Athlon 200GE, 220GE, and 240GE APUs and also the current Athlon APUs which have launched last year. MSI strongly recommends its users to update their systems by downloading and applying the latest BIOS.

If you're on a tight budget, you can start with a nice board with OC capabilities and a cheap CPU, and wait for Zen2.

I have the MSI B450M PRO-VDH currently paired with a Ryzen 5 2400G, as my one and only desktop at the moment. I did have the same board paired with an Athlon 200GE as my second rig/daily driver, but the CAMP Fire took all my schit. So people do pair the APU's with these boards.

I did have one MSI Motherboard that was a work of art in my eyes, socket 939 I believe with red anodized parts.
Definitely one of the best looking boards I have seen, unfortunately I could never get it to boot so it sat as a display piece for ages before being thrown away.

My mum's PC with Asrock B450I ITX running a 200GE already. It;s a good little chip... but 240GE is basically pointless at its current price. IT's £70, for only £20 more you can get 2200G which is almost 2x faster CPU and 3x faster iGPU, has 2x the PCIE lanes ... for like 30% more price. And only 10% more performance over 200GE for 40% more price... Honestly they should have put a bigger iGPU on the 240GE, maybe a Vega 6 (384SP) and clocked at 3.7+ then maybe it might be more attractive. Also make it unlocked lol. Anyway sorry I digressed.

A320 makes zero sense, given B350/B450 boards are quite literally a few bucks more, and can OC the athlons (Gigabyte/MSI's)

There were signs of it going down during AM2 as well....... Think "Nikos".
No way they are now or ever was the leading brand, they've always been a mid to lower tier make that I've ever known of.

They did come up with some NICE innovations such as the OC dial found on some of their now older models with a few other things that actually worked BUT the inferiority of it's components (Nikos) nullifies all that unfortunately.

In the end it can only be what it's made of and Nikos is just cheap, subpar quality.
PLENTY of fried VRM's out there to back that up as fact too.

They may be very low priority. I can still get the A8 9600 or A6 9500, but still only the 200GE.

These CPUs have been out for how long now? And why does MSI feel the need for a press release announcing this as some great achievement when their products are generally quite subpar?
