MSI is the only one who can give the real numbers of RMAs.

My guess is one batch has the robot over tighten the screws.

robots are robots though, wouldn't it do it for a long time? cause this isn't an issue that would show itself right away? hmm interesting. hopefully it is isolated to just a small batch. I like MSI boards personally

I am surprised TPU did not put this in their news section, this was over two weeks ago on Tom's Hardware.

I'm just assuming someone does calibrations every time it is setup or serviced.

Until MSI officially admits there is a widespread problem, we won't know how many are effected.

Just a pure guess but maybe the robot got wrong screws?

MSI put out a update on this, I can't find the link now but it was on reddit. most z790 boards are fine (I bought one this weekend actually msi brand), and it was only a couple models affected (my model is not one of the ones that had issues I made sure to double check) and MSI also said you would know really quick within a couple of boots on a new build if you got a bad cracked one, it doesn't happen over time, its more of you know if its bad or not right away

but yeah I got the MSI Z790 Pro WIFI, its been pretty epic and rock solid for me so far.
