The case looks cheap and in some parts looks a bit bent, but otherwise the board and I/O shield placement is pretty much perfect.

There has been a trend recently with GPUs that have backplates that are way too thick or mounted on standoffs that push it too far from the PCB, not sure if it's the GPU makers or board vendors that are violating keep out zones. The Navi31 reference cards have some problems with clearing mobo I/O shrouds with their unncessarily thick backplate, it looks like the Red Devil does a similar thing here. I always had to mount my MBA card a little crooked (not perfectly perpendicular to the board), but the GPU wasn't under any physical stress and had no trouble fitting into the slot.

For a shroud-less board the audio out I/O block looks to be pretty close to the standoff hole, but at a glance it doesn't look any worse than most shrouded boards out there. Looks like the Red Devil backplate is just unfortunate.

If the backplate just touches the audio I/O without requiring force just to fit the card in, should be fine. Put some electrical tape on it if you're worried.

It does, thank you. That eliminates one of my ideas, that the board tray was somehow misaligned with the case. It also shows that the audio header is really close to the edge of the I/O plate; closer than I think I've ever seen. ASUS may actually have broken the ATX standard for header placement. I'mma try to make a visual comparison with your and some other boards.

I thought the little PCIe card was the problem, causing the GPU not to fit....

What I mean is, pointing out choices OP could have made differently in the past doesn't help solve the problem now.

That is what’s stopping it from slotting. Im still going to move the green card addon just in case but the back of the gpu won’t slot in because of that

i used very cheap motherboards with relatively mid end cards and i have never seen that happen. The IO (line/mic in) stopping a card from going into. You should really remove that small card and try again, take your time and see if it really doesn't fit.

Well that was a fool's errand. Perspective makes it basically impossible to determine placement relative to the top PCI slot in comparison to other boards basically impossible. Anyway, it sounds/looks like your option is to either relocate the GPU with a ribbon riser or remove the backplate. The riser is probably the better way to go.

I mean...there's not much that you can do aside from finding a way to physically massage it in, mounting a riser, removing the backplate, or getting a new board. A lot of midrange and higher AM4 boards have a similar predicament with plastic or metal shrouds (or even worse, at least visually), but the difference is that a lot of them have the primary x16 slot moved down a slot so GPU backplate clearance never becomes an issue.

Even with thick backplates it generally isn't a serious issue, but the Red Devil's backplate is seriously distant to the PCB. Not sure what they're going after there.

It looks to me like the back of the case where you screw a gpu or addon card in, is bent/out of shape and might explain why the back of the gpu is catching on the metal sound shroud thing on the motherboard.

Ok the extension for the green addon card is coming next Monday I’ll move that and see if it will fit, if not I will be back. Thanks to everyone who was trying to help me, I’m grateful I can find people that know about this kind of thing because I’m kind of on my own with this kind of knowledge, but I’ve learned a bit from this post.

Given it's a 2.5 slot card I don't see how the main issue isn't it hitting the card in the bottom slot. It looks like the cooler shroud would directly hit that. Also while the riser cable will let you put the card vertical, the fans are then gonna be pulling air from right up against the case window. Or does the case not have a window? It is a metal cover with vents? Cause if it's glass the fans are gonna choke and run at nigh on full speed gasping for air when gaming. Also have you bought a new power supply? The one that came with the PC won't be enough to power this card most likely.

Maybe you can disassemble the shielding on the audio I/O.

And, do you use the antennas for the wifi card?

Also that riser cable you ordered won't fit. You need one that's flat at the bottom so it can fit under the card, that's a straight one people would use on mining rigs.

I’ve put the window and back panel back on the pc so this is what it looks like altogether. As for the antennas I use them but my Wi-Fi is shitty anyway.

Power supply? I’ll have a look to see what I’ll need to power the gpu and find a way to check what power my pc has now without it

I’ve only bought the extension to move the green card I haven’t bought anything for the gpu yet

Instead of a riser for the WiFi card, get a USB wifi adapter with a cable. It will put antenna in a much better position for reception

How much did that motherboard costed to you...in your country?
And the GPU?
I bought the pc as it was on very , the credit limit at the time I bought it was £500 and the pc was £499 and I paid it back within the buy now pay later 12 months period , I haven’t changed anything about it since I got it. The motherboard was like that when I bought it. It was a pre-made one that they sold as is. I’ve only now tried to improve it because I’ve gotten a better job and saved some money.
I bought the gpu on Amazon for £364.

What power supply do you currently have? All I can see is FSP but unknown wattage.

My thought would be to use a PCIe extension cable for the small audio plate rather than an extension cable for the GPU.

Like this:

and move the audio PCI plate a couple of slots down.

View attachment 294102

That would provide enough clearance for your graphics card's cooler and fans.
I agree with this. Moving the GPU into a vertical position will put it next to the side panel, suffocating it from the lack of airflow. I know designer cases tend to do this, but you (OP) have zero space there. Moving the small card down, and installing the GPU where it belongs without any riser cable is the most sensible option here.

So the small PCIe card is a Wifi card? You can replace that with USB.
Or this.

I’m going to move the card down since i already bought the extension for that and it’s coming next week. If I still have a problem I’ll come back to this thread

If there's an option to return/sell the card do that. Or just change the motherboard? Get a used ATX board if you can afford it, you can sell/trade this one to reduce the costs.

These massive GPU's are a real PITA, I really hate them :shadedshu:

Will that remove all the memory to my pc? I don’t want to lose all my documents or games data

You won't lose anything that's stored on the SSD or HDD. This will give you a lot more room to work with. Used AM4 motherboards should be pretty cheap wherever you are.
