WTF are you talking about?
socket 1150, get a 4790K for cheap on E bay. A PSU has NOTHING TO DO with a monitor, @origial poster What PSU do you have? Need to upgrade the GPU.......

He knows what he's talking about, you don't. Also showing you have no clue from the specs you can tell this is an OEM biege box from hp, dell, whatever etc.

If the gpu doesn't have a 6-pin, the psu is almost guaranteed to not have one either. Any GPU upgrade is going to need a 6-pin that his psu doesn't provide. Yes he probably could use a molex adapter but it is highly likely from what he described that the PSU also low rated so I'd never recommend that.

1050/1050ti is still a big upgrade from a 750, low profile and doesnt need 6 pin (for some models, at least)

And importantly it keeps the existing PC working, which is what the OP wants.

That why we are here to help out the fellow computer buddies
Yep. Hot card will drop the driver. Is the rig/card clean?
i clean my pc 2-3 times a month... there's no dust inside the cpu case and in the card...my card gets hot and the hottest temp i remember was at 58 degrees celcius...but i atill continued gaming that time and no problems occured. This year even when the temp is only at 37 degrees.. the monitor will go to sleep when i play games or do a stress test

YES
'nvidia driver crashed and recovered ' is rarely caused by actual driver bugs (last i recall was 8800GTX at launch, that was shite) and usually caused by an unstable system (memory OC is a common cause) or most commonly, by a dying GPU
YES! THIS IS EXACTLY THE MESSAGE MY PC USUALLY SHOWS ME AFTER I REBOOT. crashed and then recovered

correct me if I am wrong but the G3258 is overclockable. Dual core 4 threads? that is still ok for old games.
It's overclockable when a microcode update isn't pushed through Windows Update but limited to two threads.
