Will the z890 will out at the same time as the 15th?

i don't have an option for evga or Seasonic
so between corsair and Antec corsair better?
Corsair then but with that said, I have a few Antec PSU's that are over 10 yrs old that are still rock solid. I'd still go with Corsair.

It's your money man no need to defend what you want to purchase with you own hard earned money.

Not sure why people get so emotional and act like you insulted their whole family with your choice of silicon.

I'm sure whatever replaces the 14700k will be pretty decent and you'd think more energy efficient.

It's been a long time since I've had an intel system as one of my primary computers and I'm hoping arrowlake scratches that itch as well.

Just hold tight I'm sure it'll be worth it only about 3-4 months to go. That 6700k will get you by.

But them Ryzen 9000 cpu's look sooo good.
**attempts to troll** :D Sorry had to.

I agree with you, in the end it's your own money and you will buy what you want. All I know is im skipping this generation of both AMD & Intel.

For power supply try Superflower, such as Super Flower Leadex VII XG 1000W ( SF-1000F14XG)

I'm with 7700K
I had to spend more money for intel
1st gen RYZEN came out just after Kaby Lake and that's pretty much the reason why we've got the 6C12T 8700K (Intel's first mainstream 6 cores 12 threads processor), all in the same year!

In 2019, we've got ZEN2 and that made Intel release Comet Lake with Hyper-Threading enabled all the way to the Core i3 class, the year after.

Then came the X3D technology and it has been smooth sailing for AMD ever since. The 5800X3D has disrupted the 12900K position as their performance is similar. And with the 7800X3D, no matter the wattage and no matter the temperature, Intel still hasn't got any response regarding the ZEN4X3D offering by AMD!

So if you value your money, please wait for ZEN5X3D parts to become available first, compare that to Intel Arrow Lake (aka 15th gen unofficially) offerings, and then decide on the purchase.

And I do hope that Intel comes out ahead with Arrow Lake, for competition's sake.

We need competition to drive innovation and for better prices.

We need both to be awesome for sure because in that scenario everyone wins.

The slides for vanilla Ryzen 9000 didn't impress me very much but it's also not a terrible gain either I expect Zen 6 to be the more impressive though especially if it's AM5s swan song.

Still for anyone on Ryzen 5000 or older or 10th/11th gen or older it should be a nice upgrade option.

Arrow lake is still a wild card but at a min I expect better than 14th generation at gaming and maybe mild MT improvements it should be interesting vs the 9950X3D/9800X3D but my guess is whatever the i5 ends up being will probably make the most sense and AM5 will no longer have the socket advantage of getting future generations at that point with both getting maybe 1 extra generation and a refresh at most.

If someone prefers one company over the other nothing wrong with that both make products worth owning.

ARL vs ZEN5X3D, it'll be a gladiator fight.

but my guess is whatever the i5 ends up being will probably make the most sense
I'm more curious about this one especially if Intel (again) decides to release Ultra 7/9 parts with high power draw (just to be slightly ahead in benchmarks) which leads to chip degradation. Hope they improve on that.

Arrow Lake Core Ultra 5 260K (not official naming) has the potential to perform similar to or faster than a 7800X3D, if true then that will force AMD to respond with something like a 7700X3D at a much better price.

The 12600K is faster than the 10900K and the 13600K is faster than the 12900K so based on that I'm expecting Arrow Lake to prove to be the same or better. They're gonna increase the L2 Cache to 3MB per P-Core instead of 2MB that we've got with Raptor Lake parts (Raptor Cove Core to be more specific), IIRC.

I mean, even a 12400F is comparable to a 10900K so Arrow Lake Core Ultra 5 240F (not official naming) could easily outperform a 13900K at a much lower wattage/cooling requirements.

Also AMD has said that there will be improvements for the 3D V-Cache technology that they're implementing in ZEN5X3D processors. We'll have to wait and see what they mean by improvement.

Exciting times, for sure.
