Yes, they are solved, and Intel extended warranty to five years for all existing and new chips. You are covered either way.

Yeah I'd say 5 years is fine although I'd hate to be the person 4 years from now that claims warranty and Intel states above 125w PL1 is overclocking lmao.

In the past (don't have any experience lately tbf) intel has been extremely good with rmas, no questions asked and you get shipped a new cpu within 3 workdays.

I've never had any issues with an Intel product but a buddy of mine with a 13900k that was having issued they told him to run at base spec lol... This was prior to them acknowledging an issue though. That's my only frame if reference. My guess is they would take care of it now but Amazon saved the day even though it was beyond the return period...

No it will not. The 5070 will be faster.
48 BW SMs to beat 60 Ada SMs? With that little raster improvements the new architecture is to have brought (nada to be precise) it's only possible at 126+ % core clocks and since we all know that's not the case I don't see how 5070 is going to outclass 4070 Ti. 4070 non-Ti, sure, can do. Super? Might be as fast but not faster. Ti? Totally not even gonna catch up.

The 5070 will NOT be slower than a 4070ti. Full stop..

The 4070 was about 12% faster than the 3070ti. The difference between the 4070ti and the 5070 is expected to be similar.

As happy I am to be wrong here I'm adamant I'm not. Ada is clearly an AI arch, BW makes it even more blatant. Every single gaming benchmark leak hints at sub 50 percent gains on 5090 over 4090 which, considering a steep 30+ percent core count increase, gets calculated to 10 percent IPC*clocks boost as a bonus. Best case. CP77, full RT at 2160p: 21 FPS by 4090, 29 by 5090. Just for example. Pure raster performance difference might even be lower. There is absolutely no way for 5070 to even remotely surpass 4070 Ti in any scenario where 500 GBps VRAM bandwidth is enough. And it's, like, any 1080p gaming imaginable and most 1440p gaming as well. 4K? Who knows but it's not common to play at 4K with a xx70 class GPU anyway.

No need to thank me for sobering up your expectations. Excitement is good but this is just way too naïve.
