Newegg Jumps the Gun with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 465

But seriously this is very suspicious that two companies can release so many cards that aren't direct competitions. It goes 5890->480->5870->470->5850->465->5830->(460)->5770->(450) from fastest to slowest and from most expensive to cheapest.

Come on EU or someone, fine them both, so I can get a new GPU at a reasonable price. I want price wars!

huh? since when is there a HD 5890? any links?

5890 is made, not released, nvidia didnt make a good enough card to release it.
5970 is maybe what he meant.

5850 is the one to get, 5830/465 overpriced...

Yep that, fixed :) I think they all are over priced. 5870 should be $300, 470 $275, 5850 $250, 465 $225 and 5830 $200.

Anyhow, good that there is more choices now. Where will GTX 465 land in a month is a different story. More manufacturers coming out with own designs might lover the price. That GTX 470 stock cooler used is still quite pricey.

if the 4XX series had the performance that nvidia said it would have 6 months before its debut and didn't have the problems with the process its on then AMD's prices would have nosedived like the 3XXX cards did if you remember but . . . . thats not what happened:(

I like the stock heatsink minus the fan, its a really good heatsink but the fan is just too much for me

Free just cause 2 coupon. Cool. But they should have added a new game like Prince of persia/split second/Blur. :/

I feel like a noob. I didn't even know that Asus made Nvidia cards.

really lol where's a link?

I recall another video card being released before the reviews. It was the HD2900.

I dont see me buying a new card till NV gives me triple screen support from 1 card.

Read amd's newsposts, ati interviews.
prior to Fermi launch, they are saying we got something ready.

something ready doesn't mean HD 5890 lol. if fermi had been the beast we all thought, it coulda meant the HD 6XXX series. who knows. but i see what u mean. :toast:

We will have to wait and see the review, I am not if this card will perform like a 5830. We need benches and SLI benches.

Buy 2 cards. Triple screen support is a fad that needs to die as soon as wraparound monitors become more affordable.
