Throw in a five-point harness and I'm sold.

Why on earth would one buy a gaming chair instead of a regular cheap chair?? it's like buying a gaming coffee kettle

Razer toaster, 'nuff said...

In my lifetime I won't be able to buy a Mercedes and maintain that, may be I can buy the chair at least:roll:

Doesn't look all that bad. The carbon-fiber pattern on the sides is really dumb though. What's next, a chair with a fabric that mimics marble?

get a generic chair, put your logo on it, ez profit

Just let this sink in for five minutes

Here's how 400 eur looks after a year or 1,5 (victim on picture: a 60 (!!!) eur IKEA chair, go figure, I could buy a new one yearly for six years versus one Noblechair - including shipping :P)

Thanks for the info, didn't know that. Really interesting!

@Vayra86 Not all synthetic and real leather are made equal. Some car manufacturers offer synthetic leather (leatherette) seats on their cars (BMW calls it SensaTec, for example) and they probably wouldn't if they couldn't meet a certain amount of durability. That IKEA chair probably had some of the worst quality synthetic known to man.

Personally, for a computer chair, I'd prefer mesh or something equally breathable that stays cool during summer. Currently have leather (or fake leather, don't even know) and it's a summer nightmare.

Nah, seriously, PU is just a badly written abbreviation of Planned Obscolescence. Sold to us with the argument 'its cheaper and easy to maintain' yet you see it in even premium products like BMWs. It says a whole lot about commerce and how people want 'that premium feel' even if they get fake ass crap with a major price tag. In fact, even el cheapo Peugeot now offers similar option packages in this range but at very serious discount. Both the exact same PU leather - make no mistake about it. SensaTec. LOL @ marketing. Watch that video again ;)

So yes, the PU in a BMW may last a few years longer, it will still show visible markings of usage. I had a faux leather steering wheel in my Renault Clio (2016) and even in 2018 it already felt different in the spots where I gripped it all the time. On a hot day, sweaty palms and sticking to your wheel all the time is an actual thing.

You're not wrong, but its just different degrees of a bad material. Its still fake, stuck together, layered cancer-inducing junk (you are liable to get microplastics in your body from the flaking, for example - this is not tin foil hat territory and an actual pressing issue in todays' world). Polyurethane is actually remarkably similar in how it dissolves, to asbestos, but considerably less resilient at that and vulnerable to direct sunlight and bending (yes bending... it can break it unlike leather) - go figure. The only reason it hasn't been banned yet is because we lack long-term research on its health implications. The microplastics discussion is just now taking off.

Like you say, mesh is a great material for chairs. Its only drawback is that its a major dust collector - and again, that is a very very fine dust, so its one of the things to keep vacuuming regularly.

Might consider if there is a Red Bull version, but not with eye blinding red and yellow then. F1 winter 2018-season testing skin would be nice. Never gonna happen.

I have a couple nice office chairs that were 'too old' and got thrown out.... bastards were like new when I got em.... Almost ten years later, I still have em, but I have eight iron-on patches on mine, lol. $1.50 for four large patch at Piggly Wiggly!

for me the right gaming chair is Recaro bucket seat

PU = FU I have a real nice AKRacing seat with a great fabric covering I love it in summer or winter no more sticky or cold AF
