Change the name to something like RTX4060ti and drop the pricetag to match and this would be a great card!NVIDIA has decided to cancel the November 2022 launch of the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB.

Ive yet to see a single person praise the 4080 12gb (4070 ti in disguise), are you sure it was this forum? This forum certainly swings pro AMD anti nvidia.LOL we had clowns on this forum praising the 4070 Ti in disguise (as I've been calling it since day one) and saying it was awesome. yada yada Ngreedia yada yada
Remember how we had GT, GTS and GTX?
So why not the RTS 4080.

I don't think that covers the entirety of nvidia, their business, their products across all segments, their software across all segments and so on, and I think that says more about you than anyone else.No, people are simply objective, while nvidia cheats.
Nope. The stated specs don't qualify. RTS-4070 might work.Remember how we had GT, GTS and GTX?

Not quite: 5700=>6900 is like 3070=>4090 (more than 120% increase) - 2 tier up.The performance jump from the older generation top dog RX 5700 XT to RX 6900 XT was 101% in a single move.

Oh? Its clear as day price makes the product and Ada isnt moving things forward as of yet. Its just a way to extend old pricing and the Ampere product stack at this moment. Totally uninteresting from a buy POV.Nobody seems to realize this.

I would pay to say I've got Le graphics card tbhBring back the LE moniker RTX4080LE
Or if we compare it at the extreme of GeForce FX 5900 vs Radeon 9800, the GeForce RTX 4080 XT (12GB); The XT FX 5900 was 400/700 (core/mem) instead of 450/850.Bring back the LE moniker RTX4080LE

I imagine that they will have a sticker over the old labeling.So many 4080-12GB carton boxes with wrong letters on it in a snap.
What a shitstorm.
I've had many driver issues with Nvidia over the years.
* Broken video playback in multiple formats; while playing games or streaming/playing videos
* 2nd monitor never waking up from sleep. Only resolution was a system reboot.
* Green pixilated shadows
* crash to desktop
* BSOD
* games not launching
* games that ran just fine before, but now run like crap
* one annoying issue I had for a while was lights shining through other objects. Examples would be the sun, as it would pass behind a mountain (or a building), the sun would shine right through it. Torches or street lights would shine through walls and so on. This issue actually plagued me over a handful of driver versions.
Those are just the ones that I still remember, I'm sure there are more. No side is perfect and to keep on telling people that AMD drivers are unstable, that just means you've been lucky enough to not have to deal with bad Nvidia drivers. Also, not all drivers work with all hardware/software configurations. I've learned some time ago that if I find a driver that works, I stick with it and I don't update my driver unless I absolutely have to (new generation of a GPU or a new game that requires the most recent driver to run).
There have been no significant tech reviewer comments about AMD driver failures. Only reason anyone thinks AMD drivers are bad is anonymous internet posts like this. Nothing you said can be verified but it will still make someone casually reading these forums think twice and continue to perpetuate this myth.
I'm sorry but I choose according to my own experience. If I've had 2 very bad AMD experience I'm not going to pick it a third time (unless RDNA 3 is good and even more stable)
I have 0 doubts Nvidia has its share of issues, just that as someone who had both GPUs, my experience with Nvidia was far better.
just like Nvidia lost a customer with your issues, AMD lost a customer, me, with their drivers.

Fixed.The 12GB 4080 was stupid anyway. Nvidia will launch the 4080 16GB and then launch the upgraded 4080 later on.
EDIT: This 4080 12 GB will most likely be named the 4060 Ti or 4070 which it should of been to begin with.
