Time to ratify the PCIE graphics slot standard to support these cards. Huge GPU dies are not going away and with performance directly correlating with temperature these massive coolers are here to stay.

Would be ironic if true. Can't tell you how certain individuals were saying the xx90 cards were Titan replacements and using that to justify the price despite lacking the features that made TItans special.
Forgetting of course that the titans replaced the x9x cards that preceded them.

But facts are bad when they conflict with the narrative.

Are you insane? The jacket will come with bodyguards to ensure its safe return. Each bodyguard will have FE 4090s to clobber anyone threatning the jacket.
Apparently we both can't work well with Photoshop or other image editor. Therefore we can only cry. But there should still be a person with the necessary abilities in a technology forum. /s

FTFY

Remember the time when everyone made fun of GTX 480 for consuming over 220 watts where the GTX 285 consumed less than 130 watts.

The growth in power appetite of processors is unreal.

We used to have so many sub-100 watt cards back then.

Meh. I'm still happy with my rig works fine at 4k gaming for most of the games I play. Also just looks cooler and runs cooler and less power.
Specs please, now I want to know. 2x1080s? :rockout:

~100 watt cards is what the standard was built around, the standard for desktop hardware is kludgy as fuck right now. It would be like if Ford kept using the same body from Mustang from the 60s and dropped in a 700+ HP engine from the modern day GT500.

Y'all in here need to stop complaining about a GPU that may or may not come into existence and stop acting like it's a "gamerz card" that you're gonna go out and buy.

This card ain't a toy for gamerz with small weenies but big pockets, only interested in their e-peen -- that's what the 4090 is for - This card, I'd argue, is for the prosumer market space - digital/3D professionals and the like. You know, people who would truly put that beast to good use, rather than simply brag about it on the internet.

Good to see TITAN mentioned again. Hope it turns out to be true.

Forgetting of course that the titans replaced the x9x cards that preceded them.

But facts are bad when they conflict with the narrative.

There were two x90 cards before the first Titan card, the 590 and 690. Both of which were dual GPU cards.

To say they were replaced by the Titan cards isn't entirely accurate either.
