GTX 470 box doesn't make sense. It shows 1.5GB of memory on one side but 1280GB on another and they both list 384bit bus.

Hah that's with a weak processor, didn't even know E8190 existed. Don't quite believe the score, as this is old score of mine:

Meaning it is actually pretty accurate.

All i hope is for nVidia GTX470 or GTX480 to kick ATI 5870 @ss!

That would get the prices of the 5000 series lower so i can buy another 5750 or 5770 & do crossfirex, or make ATI get another card out that would kill the new GTX 400 series...

+1 Here..... While I do think that the GTX 480 will be faster than a single 5870..... I don't think it will be faster than a 5970. Which would mean still ATI will lower their prices and I can get another 5870 and most likely kill a GTX 480.

Now even if a GTX 480 is almost equivalent to a 5970 ..... there is know way in heel it seems that they will be able to put two chips on one card to take the performance crown back.

The Nvidia GTX 400 series is probably going to be a marvel of GPU technology but I also think it will be a loss for them in the long run!

Case of too much to late???? Or to little to late take your pick.

the Gtx 470/480 Hot'n'heavy edition... "Nothing says power like two half naked fat chicks." or "Die Size Matters." still working on the slogans a bit.

I agree with you for the most part..... I mean come on they have around six months to make this thing grow..... I am sure that if ATI would to release ........there next gen cards at the same time Fermi arrives the results would be closer.
But as far as a GTX 480 being equal to a 5970???? Only time will tell but I doubt it. I think ATI will retain the performance crown this round..... Only on the fact that I can't imagine Nvidia coming out with a x2 card if the power requirements that are being rumored turn out to be true.

Unless they pull something like a GTX 295 route. Where they come out with a seriously clocked down version chip and then add in two. But if that would be the case...... can you imagine running that card on a non SLI game . The performance would be worthless!

Either way it will drop down the pricing on the 5870 (if Nvidia's performance turns out to be true) and then I can buy one or two more..... and still kick the crap out of Fermi.

Sad huh that's the only reason I'm pulling for it.

Or just wait for the New ATI cards due out this year..... Man it's going to be exciting!
