NVIDIA released the latest version of its GeForce Game Ready drivers. Version 555.85 WHQL comes with optimization for Hellblade II: Senua's Saga; F1 24, XDefiant, and Serum. The optimization for F1 24 includes support for DLSS 3 Frame Generation, DLAA (in DLSS 2 mode); Reflex, and ray tracing effects. The support for Hellblade II: Senua's Saga gives you DLSS 3 Frame Generation and Reflex support. Meanwhile, Serum gets DLSS 3 Frame Generation, DLAA, and Reflex support. Lastly, XDefiant, the arena/MOBA from Ubisoft, gets support for Reflex.

The GeForce 555.85 WHQL drivers also add GeForce Experience or NVIDIA App optimal settings for Bellwright, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, Homeworld 3, and
Infection Free Zone. The list of newly validated G-SYNC compatible displays grows with 11 new display models spanning ASUS, Dell, Philips, IO-Data, and LG. Among the issues fixed with this release include a random crash during gameplay with Tekken 8 on GTX 10-series "Pascal" graphics cards; a lower-than-expected GPU utilization with Horizon Forbidden West when Reflex is used in conjunction with Boost; and a bug with Blender Cycles that causes motion blur to incorrectly render on some GPU generations. Grab the drivers from the link below.

New physX driver, woah, how long has been

Failed to install and caused a blue screen on an old Windows 10 machine.

It feels like a decade...

I'm afraid to actually click on the download link to see how big it is... last I checked the previous drivers were IIRC around ~800MB... Waiting for a few more generations and we'll easily be at 1GB+... Almost feels like bloatware ATM...
628 MB

The 550 branch has been terrible regarding stability for my Quadro T600, so gonna hold off on these across the board.

Installed on my Win11 box, zero issues so far. Interesting to see a new PhysX version. It's a very minor update overall but installed since I like all the 5s in the version number :D

Windows 10
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030
  • I installed using GeForce Experience: blue screen and the computer needed to repair the system (installation failed)
  • I then used the stand alone installer: blue screen but no repair needed (installation suceeded)
Then again, confirmation of the problem would be useful if you are willing to risk it.

If you use NVCleanstall, the size will be cut down by quit a bit.

Your problem might also be solved with NVCleanstall, maybe.

Maybe, but since the driver is now installed I am not motivated to try more; if it really is an issue, others will see it.

Just ran it... it says the current driver is 552.44 while GeForce Experience says 555.85

what goes?

Yeah I wouldn't trust that, nuke it and do a clean one again.

Installed on Win11. So far no problems.

Rebuilding the whole machine; one way to fix the problem ;-)

I am not sure if this driver or not, but I had BSOD after this driver and some Intel bluetooth driver update. I will roll back for a while both if I get this issue ...

I got the BSOD during the installation.

I got BSOD after reboot with notebook GTX1060, but I am still not sure if it was the Nvidia driver or not. I have no issues after 1 BSOD.

I will roll back to 552.44 because I got few BSOD already. I hope my PC is not giving up because I just finished restoring this gaming notebook for workstation purposes ....
In bios extensive tests show that the RAM, CPU, VRAM, BOARD, SSD is all PASSED so I hope it is a driver issue ... Also I lovered the undervolt values for the CPU (I used those values months without issues), but lowering them did not help, I got today a BSOD again ... The Intel bluetooth driver was also rolled back so I highly suspect this 555.85 driver.
