ALTHOUGH... since a 1080 is already at the same, or slightly higher, price of a Vega 64 for me ... my next choice is already made, since a Vega 64 is closer to a 1080Ti than a 1080 ... Of course, with all that unsold inventory, that's was the exact intent. They'll always be those folks who must be the 1st one on the block to have the latest and greatest shiny thing and will be willing to pay an extra $150 for it. And any company who price those sales at what the "market will bear" has nothing but idiots in the boardroom. Meanwhile, that extra price boost also pulls up the 1080 and 1080 Ti to levels they wouldn't garner if the 2xx was being sold at what they will eventually settle at once the 1xxx inventory is exhausted.
