I didn't want the 12VHPWR connect even my PSU has it natively this is why I went with the RTX 4070 instead even the Super variant doesn't need it in reality it should be fine with 1x8pin but I guess NGreedia wants to make an example.
I know pcie 8pin is about 150watt even some can do up to 230W like Roman / DerB8auer explains in his video but with the motherboard suppling 75W of power than the 220W TDP will be down to 145W I know for overclocking and so it would be a plain but for normal users it would be totally fine because now a days it's more beneficial to undervolt or like I did stay at the normal power and just bump up the memory with +1200MHz which should be possible for all RTX 4070's I haven't tested GPU oc yet because of time.
