NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Cards Spotted with Missing ROPs, NVIDIA Confirms the Issue, Multiple Vendors Affected

still cant comprehend how many here believe that the largest share of avg users know about all the issues a gpu has and still buy a certain brand, when in reality most dont.
they arent on forums like this, probably dont know many of the details we do (and so on).

while they might me ignorant (for not doing proper research before buying) it still doesnt make them fanboys.

most ppl that would pick a Ferrari over a german perf sedan, when in reality, short of some special/perf editions, they usually get beaten on the track.
and its just because they dont know better, not because they are fan boys..

Mine are all there. Astral. Let's see how'll my cable from Aura deal. Thor will come on tuesday, and I'm on ATX 3.0 Aura with really bad connector, after visual inspection.

Aaaand, cable's crap:

Here goes FLiR, it's just 20m FurMark 2.0 load, and sorry for the crap quality, it's BOSCH,"cheap" FLiR for 1700e. This is VGA side:

This is PSU side:

I think I have relatively low temps on the cable, due to my special setup. I have one bigass Noctua Sterrox blowing air directly on the cable:

I believe that saved my previous RTX 4090 Suprim SOC from going up in flames, or at least its 12VHPWR connector. Remember, this is ATX 3.0 PSU...

Not a good look for Nvidia, especially on their expensive flagship product. I wonder how this made it past QC?

I've generally had the stance to wait for ~2-3 months before purchasing a new "platform", whether it's CPU or GPU. But with the "beta" quality products lately, I'm considering to expand that margin.

I don't know why AMD postponed their 9070/XT, but if it's not ready for prime time then I'm all for it. But when it then finally launches we should expect drivers that are 2 months more mature than if it launched in January, and not keep making up excuses forever.

  • Fake MSRP
  • No stock
  • Flawed boad design
  • Defective chips
  • Silently dropping software support
What will be next? Fake leather?

I'd be scare to touch that, might sent me back into the future (although, I must admit it looks bad ass)

This comes to confirm that chips they send to "gamers" are no more than leftovers... This is exactly what we are to NVidia, and people still pay their pricing, and people still rush to forums and comment sections to defend them free of charge. It is surreal.

Glad I am not the only one to notice that.

So...Nvidia is selling the AIBs defective chips, and the AIBs are taking them and not sending them back to Nvidia as defective. Scummy all around.

Nvidia really is handing AMD a prime opportunity to really make Nvidia look more than just greedy, but stupid obviously greedy. Hope AMD doesn't squander it with dumb launch prices and no volume.
The "editors choice" and "highly recommended" awards getting handed out to every Nvidia card are so pointless, I haven't noticed it until recently because I usually just look at the charts, the card disassembled, and the power consumption and fan noise.
Either Nvidia is forcing the AIB's to sell defective chips, or the AIB's can't get any more chips so they're selling what they have, I think it's the former but who knows.
AMD has a good chance with their cards if the pricing isn't too close to what Nvidia is charging, and stock that people can actually buy is important, but the people who want a high end card will still buy Nvidia and I expect reviews to criticize AMD for not having DLSS regardless if the cards are good.
Wouldn't make sense. The 5090 uses GB202. The 5080 and 5070 Ti use GB203. You don't just slot a GB202 die into a standard PCB for a 5080. Now down the line, it's certainly possible. There were AD102 based 4070 Ti Supers out there. But I don't think that's what's happening here. -8 ROPS isn't a 5080.
Could it possibly be a 5080 Super or 5080Ti?

Less is more hehehe

Less is more hehehe

Less is more hehehe

When 60x0 series comes out, Nvidia will give gamers the option to run benchmarks on their claoud (first 30 days free, then 19.99$ month) - that way, nobody will feel left behind

The joke is on you sir, we laugh about it, but the direction the industry is going, you are not far off.

In 5 years, we will be gaming on Nvidia Geforce SoC's based on ARM in prebuilt/semi custom PC's, and we will be streaming games on the cloud for a subscription service. New features will be given to you from the cloud depending on what Nvidia SoC you bought. Discrete GPU's will be 5k and designed for AI Farms.

Don't you Sir me, please... that being said, what's needed is a new sheriff in town instead news about Jensen's fetish. We need 3dfx 2.0 and piwervr instead some old farts dancing

Turd gets stinkier by the day. nGreedia has pulled off a bait and switch on its customers one which even SSD makers wont pull on its customers.

If it is they forgot to disable more than 8 ROPs

nobody figured out this only affects the "D" Versions of RTX5090 sold for China only??
