NVIDIA Mulls Price-Cuts on GeForce GTX 460 and GTX 470 to Counter HD 6800 Threat

Thanks BTA...I called it last night on the teamspeak server. $260 to match the 6870. As market share is dwindling, they have no other choice.

Good move, nV, good move.

Now what's AMD to do? They should get on the teamspeak server in the evening and ask for help.

The 6870 is moving closer to where it belongs 199 USD :rockout:

newegg just dropped there prices, now its time to get another 470

I am so tempted to sell my 5850 and get a 470!

looks like cuts are beginning to hit, I could have swore the msi gtx 470 was 299 this mornign on the egg, it's 269 now and the better cooler model was 349 this morning and is 299 now.

someone needs to sell me a 470 cheap!! i got money in pp

Yep, on newegg, Palit, MSI and even EVGA's 470's have dropped to around $260.:rockout:

I've gone from one to the other. I don't see any reason why it's worth it unless you feel like folding.

Ill trade you my 5850 straight up.

Your probably right. I just want to try something new I guess.

If the price is right. I may sell my single 5850 for a couple 6870's.

Might wait a month or so to let AMD and Nvidia duke it out with holiday prices.

Thanks Nvidia for forcing some price cuts by AMD if it happens.

Nice prices if not a mistake.

Nvidia may need to go a little lower.

Anyone here realised that Physx and CUDA marketing is kind of not there anymore? during the GTX2xx era, that was the selling point. With DX11 directcompute, there are no more advantage. It might also be the fact that the marketing guy of Physx/Cuda moved to AMD and is now marking APU and fusion.

How quickly the times have changed.
