NVIDIA today released the latest version of GeForce Game Ready drivers. Version 496.49 WHQL comes with optimization for "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy," including support for DLSS. It also features optimization for "Age of Empires IV," "Battlefield 2042" (Early Access), "Call of Duty Vanguard," "Chivalry 2," "GTA Definitive Edition Trilogy," "Forza Horizon 5," "Jurassic World Evolution," and "Riders Republic." The drivers also fix certain legacy issues with "DOOM 3: BFG Edition," and "Tom Clancy's The Division 2." A flickering issue noticed at 1080p on LG OLED C1 series monitors, has been fixed. The drivers also add G-SYNC support for several new monitors, and GeForce Experience optimizations. Grab the drivers from the link below.

Still broken OpenGL and degraded Vulkan. Nvidia's turn I guess.

Dear Nvidia,

Not including the control panel with the driver is unacceptable. See to that problem.
Did this occur from a clean install or an in-place update? I updated mine from 496.13 and my control panel is still there.

On a side-note, happy to see the flickering issue resolved with Division 2. Will have to test that out later.

Clean install. The point being that some people don't & will not be using the microsoft store and we should NOT have to hunt down the control panel app and side-load it. The control panel needs to be INCLUDED, like it always has been before, with the drivers.

Interesting, I wonder when that happened? I never use the windows store, but opening it now shows that it was installed. I do not recall using the windows store, so I assume it was done automatically during the driver install. I take that you removed the windows store from your installation? I guess you could use the NVCleaninstall utility, but then again, not sure if the windows store app is required in order for the ulitity to download the control panel.

Care to elaborate? Granted I do not use either API a lot, but minecraft at least seemingly runs.

Minecraft uses old feature sets.
Seems like some logic was changed in OpenGL with the purge of Kepler, affecting rendering on most emulators.
Vulkan suffers some changes too, but minor. Still, 472 is needed to preserve functionality until we figure out what changed.

so, are this new nvidia driver, has full support of g-sync compatible on xiaomi 34 inch lcd monitor ??

I have the same monitor with nVidia G-sync enabled and it works perfectly. What issues are you having?

A lot of known issues... Gonna skip this version probably.
On previous driver there was no problems with Red Dead 2.
I'm scared if I update my game could start crashing.

I didn't encountered any crash in Red Dead Online, I didn't try the story since I have nothing to do in it anymore, maybe it's only in the story it could crash.

I went on and updated anyways. Security patches are important in every driver update.
Since I bought Fallout 4, I've been playing that game intensively with mods installed around the Horizon mod.
If a 2015 title gives me no trouble with the newest drivers I guess I'm in the clear.
Tell me, is Red Dead Online so good as they say it is?
I've beaten the single player story once and started it again since they pretty much patched the game and it's stable now.
Never given the Online part of the game much chance.
I played it for like two hours.

It's a long farming game, you farm for gold (jobs on map or main quest or multiplayer content), you won't earn a lot, with this gold you can buy jobs, with the jobs you farm money so you can buy skins, guns, horses and equipment for the job, then you farm gold again, unlock another job, repeat xD

The only job that gives gold is bounty hunter, it's fun and helps a lot ranking up so you unlock better guns and horses to buy.
Treasure maps give gold & dollars.

It's a nice game but it lacks of content, they add some from time to time but it's not like GTA Online.

Also you can spend a lot of time without seeing another player but you can find yourself staying 2h in PVP gunfights in a town.
It's a good game if you want to chill. There is a fishing competition too as for multiplayer content and poker.

I like it because I'm not scared of farming. Hunt for the merchant job for money/exp, bounty hunt for gold & easy exp, sell alcohol, search for legendary animals.

There are books you can buy (Halloween Pass 2 right now), there require gold and with exp you earn doing whatever you want, you unlock skins and sometimes more.

Well, it certainly seems pretty fun! Especially fishing competition and poker since I loved doing both on a regular basis in the single player story.
Do you remember that awful bug that was plaguing the game while playing poker?
The game would crash every time while playing poker.
I was in contact with Rockstar Support for almost three months because of it.
I was happy as a child once I saw that fixed :P

You're lucky! I had to send videos and screenshots and logs to prove to their support that it's happening.
I was always on newest drivers and latest patches for the game, but the problem would continue to bug me.
Maybe you weren't affected because you have a GTX 1080Ti as I see and I have a Turing GTX 1660...
Maybe it was because I have a Ryzen, not Intel, who knows... :P
