I didn't know that. During the pandemic the quality of the videos got so bad that I was very annoyed and then they decided to raise the prices so I cancelled my subscription. HBO Max has excellent 4K for a fraction of the price (and also Rick & Morty) so I don't even remeber Netflix exists most of the time.

Most people are streaming on their smart TV or mobile device so shit performance on Windows is a non issue.
