It's been like that as long as I can remember.

So is 364.72 okay, or are we in need of a hot fix follow-up?

About that delay in the control panel. Are you referring to the delay when choosing the "Manage 3D settings" panel? With a SSD that takes 4 seconds with all games installed on a separate mechanical drive.

Well, it's not the choosing of the "Manage 3D Settings" tab that takes long, that only takes a couple of seconds; the problem I am referring to is when you want to change something within the "Manage 3D Settings" tab, for example: Changing V-Sync from "Off" to "Always On" and so forth.

I'll wait for further reviews. I tried the previous driver twice (clean install as well) but kept getting BSOD's randomly when PC was idling. Running 362 version for now.

First time I've ever had cause for concern about upgrading NV drivers. :(
The 364 branch is well known for that idling issue, either from waking up from sleep or hibernate or after being idle for quite some time and the monitor enter standby mode. I can confirm and reproduce the issue myself.

Hopefully they've fixed crashing with video. Their last drivers stunk.
With Netflix? Not yet, unfortunately.

And an official response for the delay within NVCP.

The one saying old installs use 5gb. Just delete old files manually. Set folders by date of install and keep only new ones..

Well, from what I read online, having everything on a SSD helps with this issue, but there is still a little delay, how long, I can't say off the top of my head. All I know is, that currently with my HDD and all the games I have on it, it takes a good 3-4 minutes to become responsive.

Wutt, really? I have old ssd and only 5games on ssd, rest across 4 partitions on 2 hdds and i never wait longer then 5- 10sec.

Back in the days it started a lot faster -became responsive. You could adjust the settings as soon as you opened nvcpl. But then they decided, think ~ R330+, to change it because it conflicted with few profiles or something like that so its more accurate and now it is what it is.

Thats why i prefer nvinspector profile editor, super fast and can do all kinds of stuff.. I use nvcpl only for the first time to set dsr and video settings then close it for good.

Btw quick workaround if you want it to be responsive is to close it in e.g. physx or resolution tab. Next time you start it it will open that tab and be responsive right away.

My Windoze 10 Pro PC with a 512 GB 850 Pro OS Drive was hanging while watching Bosch on Amazon Prime, repeatedly - and when idling. I, too am back to 362. I'll wait for further reports before trying this one, as that was a shocker - years since I had driver probs. I always do clean installs, often with some additional tidying up after to get rid of remnants.

My PC was unresponsive for the first time ever this week when idling over night, but I still have 361.91 driver. The screen wouldn't come back on, not sure if PC was gone or not.

Oh gosh, you've forgotten last summer already? :ohwell: After the excellent 347.88 driver in March, 2015, they went almost 7 straight months with bad drivers.

I'm running 362 as well without issue and will stay on it for awhile....hopefully it doesn't become a case of 347.88, where I had to stay in it for over half a year because it was the most stable driver they had.

update: currently using v361 drivers after using DDU. never had crash since. Only problem is that my old rig (GTX760) which uses the newer 362.74 has run into problems. 1st sign was weird green boxes with pink streaks when running some demanding games like BF Hardline & NFS 2015. It froze & crash without an error message. After restarting, I found via GPU-Z that the reported speed it runs is at x4 instead of full x16. I'm not entirely sure whether the driver has a bug or deliberately destroyed my VGA card after installing it & used for a few days. It makes me worried... I dunno whether this is mainboard's fault or just the card that's showing signs of age.

Running this driver now.

Gsync capable monitor + DSR + SLI now works!

Pretty happy so far.

And this did 'fix' the control panel scrolling all the way up when applying new settings. It still scrolls up, but only to the point where the option you just changed is the lowest setting you can see.
