NVIDIA Teases "Ultimate Gaming Experience" At GTC Taiwan

NVIDIA has posted a short (literally short) teaser, treating users to the promise of the "Ultimate Gaming Experience". This might mean something, such as the new, expected NVIDIA 11** series of graphics cards... Or it may mean something much less exciting, and have something to do with the 4K, HDR gaming experience that is supposed to be reaching gamers in a couple of weeks, at an expected cost of more kidneys than the average human has.

Officially, though, GTC 2018 Taiwan will revolve around artificial intelligence tech (what doesn't these days, really?) Translated, the teaser image reads something along the lines of "Utilizing GPU computing to explore the world's infinite possibilities - witness the power of artificial intelligence and the ultimate gaming experience in GTC Taiwan and Computex 2018." Remember, however, that marketing almost always has a way of blowing things out of proportion - don't hold your breath for a new graphics card series announcement.

I didn't quite catch it , how is this related to the Ultimate Gaming Experience ? GTC isn't about announcing consumer products and according to this , it clearly says this is about AI and whatnot.

What am I missing ?

My GTX 1080Ti isn't quite yet. If there was anything exciting, I'd probably flip it even if there was no need. I like to fiddle with new stuff. But I don't think we'll see anything crazy. I wish there was though...

Nah they are already selling out, it's not like there is anything better on the market, especially with AMD GPUs still overpriced due to those pesky miners.

I'm guessing there's something in your mind that prevents a company that launches 12nm products in 2018 from launching 7nm products in 2019.
Also, what source are you talking about, I haven't found that 12nm reference.

Ehm... not sure what you are trying to prove here? Its obvious they are, always have been, and the out of stock GPUs today are just more proof of that. What does the Osborne Effect have to do with any of this?!

You brought the Osborne effect into discussion. That says when a new product is announced, the old one tends to catch dust on the shelves. But now you're telling me cryptomining has depleted the supply anyway. So how does the Osborne effect apply in this case?
