NVIDIA has confirmed that they will be launching a new RTX series of gaming graphics cards, called RTX Super, on July 2nd. According to info from VideoCardz, there will be three models of the new GPUs at launch - RTX 2060 SUPER, RTX 2070 SUPER and RTX 2080 SUPER. The review embargo will lift on the same day as launch day for RTX 2060 SUPER and RTX 2070 SUPER, but the embargo for RTX 2080 SUPER will prevail until "later in July".

The embargo for custom cards based on the new SUPER GPUs will be delayed until July 9th, when we will get the first wave of new cards. There is no apparent reason for the delay, so we will need to find out more about that. Pricing is yet to be announced, but according to the source, it will be "later this week". As a reminder, from previous leaks we have seen that Super series is supposed to bring about 10-13% more CUDA cores to the GPU models, more memory and higher memory speeds.

Ah shit, here we go again.

I'm expecting a small bump in performance between 5% and 10% on the RTX 2080. It will be interesting to see some Super reviews here. Hopefully Nvidia has sent TPU some cards so the reviews can be available on launch.

The rumored new 2060 with 8G VRAM seems like a good budget choice to me.

trying to preempt, arent we?

Were the SUPER cards on double secret probation and therefore not released on the launch date of the other RTX cards?

As well as a 2070 Ti Super.

Define "budget" choice. Cause you know when a supposedly midrange card goes for 400USD, then we had long left "budget" moniker on the roadside somewhere...

Awesome. It will drive Navi prices to where they should have been, $300 and $200. Which means I'll be able to get a great mid-range Radeon for cheap.

few years ago, midrange was $150 - $210 maximum, budget $50 - 100, nowadays, midrange is $400 - 600 and budget $150 - 300.

The RTX 2060 Super with more Cuda Cores, 256bit and 8GB VRAM, could be very close to the RTX 2070.

Unfortunately, I think Nvidia will raise prices once more... If they kept the $349 MSRP for the Super and downgraded the normal to 290$~$300 to get rid of the stock, it would be a huge success card.

Considering how price performance metrics of newly released graphics cards barely improved if at all... technically you are right.

I'm sure as heck won't be paying for GTX 1070Ti/1080 performance 400-450USD or EUR here in Euroland, cause if I wanted yesteryear's performance for yesteryear's prices I had the opportunity to buy that 2 years ago... and above anything else that makes me just sad.

What the RTX had to be since release.

No just a scamy way to optimise cash flow when Rtx came out, now you can buy a 2070 for the price it should have been all along .

So they'll be willing give you a card that's 15% improved (perhaps like a 5700 non-X ) working from higher binned chip and the cost of an additional 2Gb memory and they'll do a straight trade? So that basically Nvidia; you purport the RTX 2060 6Gb had a super extortionate margin built into it all along to cover this presto-change-o? Either way the optics are bad!

with the risk of getting a ban: I too piss over my piss, Nvidia bee classy Ngreedia.
