Some time ago while was just looking into the possibilities for upgrading from AM4 to AM5, in the choices of mainboards this model picked my interrest.
Mainly because of the features but also the design (I like the minimalistic looks, not too much bling bling :rolleyes:).

Fact that it is manufactered by Asrock is not a bad thing imo.

But the price... :eek: , here in the netherlands: € 499 :fear:

What do you consider an acceptable price in comparisson with X870E mainboards of the compitition (in the same segment of course)?

It would be quite interesting to see other peoples opinions and ideas regarding this in an open discussion.

Just get asrock similar featured board… nzxt charges an arm for their motherboards

Also it’s nzxt which means it’s a giant ripoff. It’s a cheap 160 eu board with some heatsinks glued on it for 500 euro. You can probably rent this for 60 a month for 36 month term. This company is basically a scam under current management.

Ask yourself if you trust NZXT pre-builts. I think there is better motherboard choices for the same price.

NZXT's reputation seems to have gone down the tube, and they no longer present themselves as a 'value brand'; shunning their core customer base.
Get an ASrock or Asus or MSI high/top-tier board; I think Biostar is popular over in European markets, too. -I think you might even be able to get a Sapphire AM5 board, over there.

I know NZXT's look nice, but it's not worth it IMO.

Wonder what board that is based on, actually the price is pretty similar as "normal" Asrock X870E boards (Nova/Taichi/Taichi Lite).

Does it have a anime girl in her battle suit ready to go to battle for you? If the answer is no, then it is not worth the price.

This does. ;)

judging by the specs i reckon it is around nova(model) for asrock equivalent... and it is cheaper by $150....

So for now as I summarize things according to the comments above;

  • the consumer who wants a new mainboard just has to make a selection on which features he/she wants (pretty normal I guess) :rolleyes: .
  • then for the aestatics you'll have to make a choice on different possibilities of trendy bling bling and (of course) pay extra for this :wtf:.
  • if you want to omit the bling bling (not following the trend), you'll even pay more :kookoo:.
I'm aware of the NXZT debacle with their rental buisiness practices which at least can be called questionable, if not even reprehensible.
Also the fact that they are not really fast (understatement?) with their firmware updates, would raise some red flags.
That doesn't do any good on the brand reputation and customer confidence in it.

So my conclusion: it's certainly not the best choice out there (especially at this price), but this board just looks so damned nice imo :D.

I'll just be monitoring it for reviews and a subtantial price drop to see if it lines up closer to the price level of the competition, which could make me reconsider.
Probably won't happen, but one can dream :ohwell:. I'm not in a hurry.

They sure nailed the aesthetics! It also comes in white.

ASRock definitely knocked it out of the park with the Nova.
This + Yeston Sakura 9070 XT would look hella dope.
It would smell hella dope too. :roll:

Actually I'd probably like to have something different than just the smell of dust in my PC. :laugh:

Personally I'd get a board which suits my needs; the aesthetics are a bonus but I wouldn't pay extra for them.

@Ruru

It would certainly help with the following situation, as others have already noted in that thread. :laugh:

This would look super clean in a waterloop with hard tubing and a havn case.

Ah, I noticed that thread but didn't have anything wise to say, I smell only the smell of "new electronics" if I buy something new, when buying something used, it's totally odorless. Could be my smelling sense though, been a smoker for almost 20 years though.

Always a thumbs up for a white PCB. Sucks that they are such a rarity.
