OCZ Technology Group, a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory and computer components, today unveiled the latest memory cooling accessory, the OCZ XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) Cooler Revision 2 to promote dedicated airflow to modules. Active cooling combined with passive thermal solutions is extremely important in any rigorous overclocking environment, and OCZ developed the next generation XTC Cooler for supreme heat management of OCZ's complete lineup of high-speed RAM.

"The first revision of the OCZ XTC Memory Cooler proved to be a very popular product with a wide range of enthusiast and power users," said Ryan Edwards, Director of Product Management for OCZ. "We are excited to now offer a follow-up design with improved performance, an enhanced feature set, and a sleek new look, all at the same affordable price point as the original. The XTC Cooler Rev. 2 is fully compatible with the complete range of OCZ high-performance memory products."

Once installed over the memory subsystem, the XTC Cooler's dual 60mm fans channel a steady flow of air creating a cooler environment and promoting stability. Though optimized for use with OCZ's specialized XTC heatspreaders, the Rev. 2 is a beneficial cooling aid for all system memory, including those with larger, taller heatsinks. Thanks to superior active cooling, dual fan speeds, and easy installation, this second edition cooler is the ultimate overclocking companion for enthusiasts seeking superior performance, longevity, and reliability from their memory.

With a sleek, new design including a taller profile for the latest heatspreaders, the XTC Cooler Rev. 2 features a brushed aluminum design, dual fans with blue LEDs, ultra quiet operation, and a two year warranty backed by OCZ's leading technical support and service. If you're a hardcore overclocker looking to maximize the airflow in your system or a case modder looking to add extra excitement and style, the OCZ XTC Cooler Rev. 2 is the ideal choice to pair with performance RAM.

MEMORY COOLER BLOWOUT!!!!! (you really should do a shoot out between all theese recent ram coolers geeze theres like 6 (majior) now right? )

i just bought a rev 1 for $15 new, i guess i know why they dropped the price now.

Nice but why the garish leds in everything.

yeah i usaly squash the lights after i know they work same on my zerothrem. tired of the light show. was fun when i was younger but my taste changed a lil :)

i wonder how this would fit on like a set of reaper's or dominator's? IF it would fit!

the LED's kill it for me too :( plus i can make my own for about $6 using 3 60mm fan's :o the OCZ does look better though lol :toast:

Wat da hell ..... :wtf:

Is this the Memory Cooling week or sumthing ....

The RAM used for this pictures happens to be OCZ Blade's, their heatspreaders are about as tall as the ones used on Mushkin RAM and in the original OCZ XTC they only just fit.

However, this newer version seems to have a lot more clearance (almost twice as tall as the original) and I wouldnt be at all shocked if a set of Dominators or similar tall sticks of RAM would fit...that's useful as my FlexII's could use some active cooling and the original OCZ unit didn't fit over them. :)

yea i never liked the blue dominators fans the red one looks ok but out of all; of them i like the gskills look the bes though it may not cool like this one.

is this wide enough to cool a triple channel kit?

I don't get it, why would you even need a fan i have some mushkin 800 mhz 5-4-4-12 running @ 1068 4-4-4-12 1.8V they aren't even warm they come with cheap little heatsink never seen ram ever get so hot that you need to have 2 fans on them

lol.... well its for ppl with wayyyyy higher MHZ than 800 and V highter than 1.8 reaching for low times like yours :) But im sure ppl will keep it in mind who are in the market for ram NFN-RAM (Non fan needin) :P. They are just extra performace parts for ppl pushing there systems. You dont ever NEED somthing like this as much as u WANT it for pushing your ram to where u WANT it.

OCZ: "mission acomplished" *rides away in a helicopter* "wait till they see rev 3, and 4"

When I clocked my Mushkins up way past 1200mhz I'm happy I had my OCZ XTC cooling them. :nutkick:

800mhz @ 1.8v doesnt need active cooling.
