Hi,
Today I replaced my old CPU fan by a new one. To do so I unplugged everything, unscrewed the motherboard, reapplied thermal paste, etc. Then I screwed back and plugged back everything. But now, it just starts then stops, then starts then stops... And neither my mouse or my screen turns on. Here is a video of the phenomenon:

Specs:
VS550 Corsair
R9 380 msi
CPU fan: purerock be quiet 150w
Motherboard g1 sniper h6
Intel CPU (I dont remember the exact model)

It s worth noting that being the clumsiest man in universe I accidentally let my cpu fall from a height of 30 cm twice and that I accidentaly stepped on it (not with all my weight but still...), also I removed the old thermal paste with water on tissues since I have no alcohol.
The PC was working fine befire I changed the fan.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Small update: I reinstalled the old fan... Still the same problem occurs.

you remove the processor?

better you check the socket first, maybe bent or miss align or you just too tight when putting the heatsink

your motherboard should have an error code indicator, in either beeps or a series of diagnostic led's or a led read out of codes. See what error its throwing and look error up in your mobo manual.

throw that power supply into a lake. Its made by corsair but their lowest end stuff is absolute crap.

Hi,
Sounds like an expensive fan.

Hi all, thanks for your replies. Unfortunately I've had my PC checked and apparently it was my motherboard socket. So here's that.
Again, thanks.
