why would you have the bottom fans as exhaust instead of intake?
Point of the bottom dust filter was for intake.

Good catch! You might want to link @Darksaber in for a heads-up

I was wandering why the thermal stress tests had this case ranking lower down the chain... especially with those T30's at play. An oversight?

I'm in an area that gets sunlight all the time pouring in so glass stuff is a no go. There's also a reason why your glass mugs for hot drinks stay cold to the touch and the metal ones will burn your hand off.

A PC doesn't hold 90C liquid, it contains 50C (or so) air. Glass may have an order of magnitude lower conductivity than steel, but air is another order of magnitude lower yet, and there's a pretty big air gap between the heat-generating components and the panels. So yes: There's technically a difference in the amount of heat transferred through a glass vs. metal panel, but if it makes more than a 2C difference in temps in an otherwise-identical (and well-ventilated) scenario, I'd be quite surprised.

No 140mm top fan options, no 280/420 rad options.. in a case this big and expensive.. even the much older Evolv X supported 2x 420mm mounts.. shame. Missed opportunity as I would love a O11D style case with proper 140mm 420 rad support but it still does not exist..

I grabbed a Torrent for now and it works plenty well with a 420+280 setup but I like the whole separate chambers idea from the old Air 540 for example.

I would guess that Phanteks would make a higher airflow version, because it is Phanteks. I hope so, the case has some good ideas but fails at the thing I care the most about. I just don't see how it gets such poor (well, average) thermals with so many Phanteks T30 installed and so much interior volume around the components, usually super big cases do pretty well. Maybe it is the bottom fans being reversed, not clear if it was tested the same way the picture was taken.

I am currently using an Enthoo Pro 2 Closed Panel tower. My system is air cooled. The unit runs very quietly and at acceptable temperatures.
The tower is a monster and quite heavy, but it's what I wanted and fulfils my requirements.
The dimensions and weight are very similar for both units so I am assuming the NV7 is the "updated" model.
I would have liked to have seen a comparison of the two units so that the changes - for better or for worse - could be compared.
