I would love to file a class action on steam against these games. Not cheap and remarkably poor alpha states.

Know some folk that love it yet it seems like a very shabby version of DayZ without the zombies. I'm getting crashes very often.

And yes - I know what Alpha state means but in my mind I dont think PUBG will ever be published as finished and as such, if that is the case - i'll have my cash back please.

I might sound like a PUBG fanboy here but I'd have to disagree on that.

I only experience crashes very rarely, like once every two weeks. maybe even less, also I'm not having any kind of gaming breaking bugs(it's way way more refined than DayZ; gunplay, physics, graphics, performance, ALL better than DayZ) if anything this is way way better than most of other 'early access' games out there. and I've played a lot of early access games, got burned a few times already, although I got some great games out of it as well.

also the point of these Alpha version is to try to troubleshoot and fix most issues people are having and add a couple of new stuff every now and then. so maybe instead of refunding maybe try and find the issue and report it? I had an issue before where having either playstv or msi afterburner/rivatuner together with Reshade will mess up the game and crash it from time to time. or maybe it's something on your end, or you got unlucky that your specific setup doesn't work well with the game yet. Also, i think it's being released this month, with a big update coming. hell, in less than a year they will have added a Vaulting/Climbing system, CQC stealth takedowns and a new map, way more than what DayZ added after years of development.

I'm pretty surprised they're managing to push out updates like they look to be more recently. There was a good stretch of time I was worried they weren't going to get shit done or get it released in time, but looks like they're mostly on track. I haven't honestly played the game for a few months now, but am planning to go back when it releases and the servers have higher tickrate/fixed hitreg/etc.

Lol, I'm playing it now. You can disregard my opinion as much as you wish. It's still very buggy, very laggy and very old looking. Thus the DayZ comparison.
I enjoy it it more now but it's very rough. Very, very rough.

I don’t really think this needs to be a graphically great game. It’s not really the point. I don’t really experience lag on live servers.

Lag for me is hit and miss (Ohio)... its mostly fine. I don't really find it to be terribly buggy either. Surely, things are being ironed out and its notably better in the test server, but, its passable as a 'finished' game IMO. Plenty have come out in worse shape over the years.

didnt notice we had a PUBG thread, i've been playing and streaming it for a while now

1.0 test servers boost my FPS quite considerably, goddamn is it demanding in 4k - breaching 5GB of VRAM used on 'very low' everything at 3840x2160

kinda sad when beastly systems gotta run everything but textures on minimum settings

This game include real driving experience, my first grade is 7th, I dead because I fell off a car, that's really amazing.

wait til you drive cars up hills and land them on the roofs of houses, and climb in through the windows to murder people... thats when the game gets crazy

some people are reporting +20fps increase in the test server. + a new map, new UI and vaulting system. should be a great release

That is actually kind of true, I've played on the test servers but some of the bugs are still in there and there was a lot of rubber banding, on the plus side the new map is cool and the sounds have been improved immensely

The test server was without a doubt a lot smoother fps wise. Loved the vaulting.

As far as rubber banding, tell the Asians over running the US servers to stay in their local servers...lol! While that is trje, on a more serious note, lag isnt too much an issue of the game so much as it is people in the server. Occasionally i get laggy servers, but again, all i see are asian names dieing or talking trash when im dead in US servers...

Agreed, I have a feeling the release won't be a major improvement and the game will still be messy.
The latest test servers ran very badly for me, enormous delays between opening a door and it opening, insane rubber banding, fps still bad.. If it will be still the case on release I'm leaving a negative review..

confirmed on both my systems, i'm seeing more like 30FPS gains, even on the old map. My little bunch of misfits only play on the test servers now, despite needing foreign servers to play... so much smoother FPS wise

I totally agree...but I was on the EU servers

The update that I installed on Saturday (~5 Gb) really improved the FPS, can turn up the settings to High now, though the game does still stutter quite often and quite badly. Standing still and panning the camera from side to side goes from 90 to 45 FPS, if done quick enough. Rubber banding still present as well.

weird... not experiencing any of this, even with my 2600k gtx 1070 back then. i'm playing on SSD though if that helps

Has anyone played the 1.0 version yet? I've played on the test server yesterday after the 9.6Gb update and we've won one the first match on the test server, there are a lot of improvements but I am really curious to see if they've added new stuff in the final release...I guess I'll find out tonight
