Hello, as you can see from the title I need help on overclocking my ram. I have 8x2 TridentZ RGB 3200mhz. Motherboard is an ASROCK B450m Pro4 and cpu is a ryzen 7 2700x (running at 4.0ghz)
I'm currently running my ram at 2800mhz @1.4v. I've tried to use the XMP but to no avail. Or should I just lower the speed to 2700 and leave it at that? Any help would be appreciated!

Seems you are not alone. The black magic of memory overclocking usually requires much testing and tweaking, and Ryzen is particularly picky with timings and speed. You will almost certainly need manual/custom timings rather than default XMP.

Fairly thorough -

ASRock states with this motherboard if you are using 4 DIMM slots the most you can run is 2400Mz. If you run 2 DIMMS (dual channel), there is a chance you can run 3200+ but it is not guaranteed (Page 23 of the motherboard manual). I would suspect most 3200+ memory speeds are obtained on single DIMM configurations/single channel.
