Aimed at hardcore gamers and enthusiasts, PNY raises the bar with this new graphics card by overclocking it right at the factory, ensuring that it delivers every drop of graphics juice.

Powered by the raw silicon muscle power of NVIDIA's latest Pascal architecture and ultra-fast FinFET technology coupled with PNY's XLR8 Dual Fan Cooler means silent but accelerated gaming at the highest graphics settings with blistering fast frame rates. The 6GB GDDR5 memory clocked at 8 Gbps with a data transfer rate of 192 GB/s and with a 192-bit wide memory data bus guarantees that there will never be any bottleneck while transferring large game textures and huge maps.

Even the most graphically demanding titles of the day should not find it difficult to run on the GTX 1060 due to complete support for DirectX 12 - the gaming API used by all current gaming titles. NVIDIA Game Works brings a truly realistic cinematic gaming experience. The PNY GeForce GTX 1060 can aptly handle the latest games in VR as well, promising plug-and-play compatibility with most VR headsets.

Sporting 3 DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, and DL-DVI ports, the PNY GeForce GTX 1060 supports multi-monitor setups, capable of ultra-high display resolutions of up to 7680x4320 @60fps. With a TDP of just 120W, the PNY GeForce 1060 can work in any system with a single dual-width PCIe x16 graphics slot, a 6-pin PCIe power connector, and with a minimum power requirement of only 400W. Complete long term driver support is ensured for various versions of Windows and Linux operating systems.

The only GPU I've seen that experiences VRAM issues or notable bottlenecks is the 1060 3GB. This is the 6GB variation so odds are it runs completely fine. The 1060 is more than capable for about 95% of users. If you want 4K or the bleeding edge you're not looking at the 1060 anyway--you're looking at a 1080 Ti.

"... because the games were never built from the ground-up to be DirectX 12 titles, and instead received some patches to have a DX12 mode, which could explain why they run better in DirectX 11. Not to mention that those 'DirectX 12' games are few to begin with. So it would take a while before we have proper DirectX 12 games, and by that time we will get a new architecture anyway."

There, I improved it even more.

Wait...what!?!?!?!?

Wait...what!?!?!?!?

They're considering it. Not sure if true, just like a 1060 is or is not a high end card and this whole ad does or doesn't make any sense at all

GTX 1060 is a mid range GPU easily enough for FHD gaming. What's your problem?

Sharing my thought on the catch phrase. By the way it is not midrange, it is low end. The 1070 is mid range.

This has been out for months

:slap:
"Mid high-end" then.... I don't like the "mid" part of my 519 Euro card.... Since I own one....:p

They got down to $369 USD

They got down to $369 USD

Well not in my country....

Idk how ANYone can even contemplate a card. 1060's for instance are running in the 400's, when they barely broke 225 6 months ago. I honestly feel sorry for anyone that needs a GPU right now.

Microcenter is full of 1060 6gb cards for under $400...

So is Newegg.

Also, I bought this exact card all the way back in December. So I'm not sure why this is just making the news...

Guys, those of us the least bit cost conscious can see the prices are way above where they were. To get the cheapest 1060's you have to go single fan 3GB. Perhaps I wasn't explicit: dual fan 6GB models are way above the low prices they were before the mining boom struck.

The cheapest 6GB GTX1060 on newegg right now is a Dual-Fan MSI card for $259.99. That's a whole $10 more than what I paid for my GTX1060 before the mining craze hit. Not really "way" above where they were. More like slightly above.

Yes, there is some inflation going on, but if you shop around, you can find prices that aren't at ridiculous levels.

My Apologies. Apparently my Newegg filtering on my phone that normally stays in place went missing, and I was looking at marketplace prices in there too.

Since I hadn't visited in awhile it was a big difference. A check of some other sites might have shown me a more realistic picture.
