Im trying to have fun, but I had to put my card back on air to stabilize this notso good B2 CPU...its a bit toasty having them both OC on the same loop!

I imagine that would make for a warm loop. What block were you using?

using a y-splitter could avoid the cpu heating the gpu (or vice versa) issue, but if your pump/radiator isn't up to the job of cooling both, then you're sol. and what's your temps on the card? just curious as I'm using a maze4 on my 2900 as well and it gets pretty hot for a 3fan rad.

I never broke 45 on the card with a 3.2GHz OC but to run at #.6 there was too much CPU heat being taken in on the card. Was almost back into the high 50's on water so I just put it back on air, as I think there may be gremlins afoot in my graphicds card!

Have been going through a bout of VPU recoveries durring gaming but not in testing!

No pencil mod here, and mine goes to at least 1250 (won't try higher as it doesn't need it, and I'm a coward!). However, not all cards are equal, and different manufacturers use different chips. Nothing is guaranteed to run faster than stock, if they all could run faster then they'd probably be sold as "overclocked" editions for more money, LOL!

Cheers, for that, read the thread before;). I got a Thermalright HR-03-GT on it so it's nice and cool (51C load) but I just can't take the RAM past 1180, as soon as I go into a 3d app the screen goes black:shadedshu.

well then you'll be happy to hear - i think i found a VMem pencil mod

Im trying to have fun, but I had to put my card back on air to stabilize this notso good B2 CPU...its a bit toasty having them both OC on the same loop!

if that's the case then without a doubt put the card on water rather than the cpu, 300 or so MHz lower clock because it's on air will have much less of an effect on your score than being able to overclock your card higher because it's on a dedicated loop
