Pretty much running stock 7950x, DDR5-5600 ECC. Running on water with old EK block with offset mounting (about -5mm instead of -7mm do to socket compatibility issues), about 28c ambient, 31c water. Score is probably underperforming a bit in the benchmark due to being set in background priority mode and running a VM at the same time.

Score improved from 204 to 224 when PC wasn't doing other things.

Is that with most recent UEFI/BIOS update that corrects 9950x latency issue?

I believe so, the latest available for the X870E-E.
I'm going to run it again in a bit without steam, blizzard, discord, etc running in the background.

Edit, picked up very little with nothing running in the background.

I was expecting a bigger jump. Time to look back at review results....

Are you getting 100% CPU utilization? I discovered when I jumped from 5950x to 7950x I wasn't getting 100% CPU utilization in my typically 1.5hr 7z compression job but it still managed to finish about 30% faster. It jumps about a bit on the 2nd CCD.

Seems to fall in line with W1zzard's review, 7950x actually beats it in decompression.

Looks now like with the recent updates 9950x pulls ahead. It would be interesting if a few months from now W1zzard does a round 2 9950x benchmarking to see how unready the 9950x release was for top performance.

9950X Delidded, PBO +200, CO tuned
2 x 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30, tuned sub-timings

Nice RAM tune for dual-rank, kudos! My system won't do a hair over 3000Mhz with dual rank
Thanks, could be 6400 but I can't go above 1,43v and need 1-2 steps for that. But I hope the latest bios can help with that (I just need time and wish to play with it) :)
How much frequency did you gain by deliding?

Have you tried lowering the ProcOdt and ProcDqDs which seem a bit high?

It's hard to tell about frequency gain due to PBO's variations, but my temps stay under 72c even when benchmarking. That's with a Arctic Freezer III 360. I only used the CPU a week before delidding, but the one thing I noticed is I'm seeing max effective clocks as reported by HWINFO at 5825. I don't think I ever reached an effective clock over 5600 before delidding. I highly recommend it, other than the added price of the tool and heatspreader.

I've been following as much info as I can from @buildzoid. That man is a treasure who has tried his best to translate the alchemy of RAM to us mortals. Support him if you can. Apparently, those high procodt values are a thing on Ryzen 9950X, they are trained by the motherboard. Personally, I think the wall I'm hitting comes down to 1T GDM=OFF, which I'm not willing to compromise on since I'm really happy with my tune and performance already. I think my memory controller is average, but I am able to set my infinity fabric to 2200 if I keep my VSOC below 1.2 which is above average. It appears to be stable as well based on my bandwidth and latency, which can tank if there is error correction caused by infinity fabric instability.
