Software: OpenBSD, bspwm, open-source GPU driver, UFS file system, Chromium 125.0.6422.76
Chromium is less fast than Chrome and Brave in this test. With Chromium I usually get a result around 33x in Linux.
OpenBSD appears to be sacrificing 10% performance over Linux in exchange for higher security.
If Chromium is slightly optimized on OpenBSD it is just as fast as on Linux.
If I remember correctly, the Chromium of Alpine Linux scores exactly as high as that of OpenBSD.
You probably see the same principle there, slightly lower performance for higher security.
