Powercolor uses quality block, though I dont think is worth it to buy one pre installed, since is the same price as separate and you dont have the original air heatsink for backup

Got some of these on order, looking forward to seeing if they OC better than air cooled.

Good point Douglatins, never thought about it.

The price is 829$. That's a lot. Yeah and you won't have the stock air cooler as a back up... So... don't buy this! Unless you're afraid of epic failin' and screwing up the water block installation.

Well if you're gonna dump that much money into a GPU ya might as well get a $30-$40 aftermarket air cooling for back up right?

As for now, there is no aftermarket air cooling for the 5970. So that's too bad.

I got excited untill I remembered the 5970 is a dual GPU.

Not that I'm unhappy, this is a awsome card. And who the fuck needs air coolnig backup? What in case your pump goes out, then you can't wait the 24 hours to replace that VIA next day air, and instead feel the need for having a $100 worth of air coolers on hand? Stupid idea. The cooler is already installed, so no failure, and if you have water cooling and can't install your own fittings thatn you are a loser anyway.

Water FTW.

X2 on Steevo, if you change the cooler you loose the warranty. If you are going wc it makes more since to get it pre-installed if the cost is not much extra.
