PowerColor announced market availability of its Radeon RX 570 4 GB Red Devil graphics card. The company had announced the card at the RX 570 SKU launch. It is Positioned above the RX 570 Red Dragon, and is characterized by a high-end looking product design, featuring a long custom-design PCB, mated with an equally long 2-slot, triple-fan cooling solution, which features an aluminium dual-fin-stack heatsink ventilated by a trio of 70 mm fans, which stay off when the GPU is idling. PowerColor also included a back-plate to add to its premium appeal.

The Radeon RX 570 4 GB Red Devil features factory-overclocked speeds of up to 1320 MHz GPU (boost), compared to reference frequencies of 1275 MHz; and its memory is left untouched at 7.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective). Based on the 14 nm "Lexa" silicon, the Radeon RX 570 features 2,048 stream processors across 32 GCN compute units, 128 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. The RX 570 Red Devil draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector; display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.4, and one each of HDMI 2.0 and dual-link DVI.

Seems a bit much no?

I really want four or five fans just to be safe:/

I think the people that want a Red Devil card are looking for it to be over the top anyway.

yeah but why buy a RX 570 then and not atleast and RX580 if not waiting for Vega.

Well 3 fans can run slower while keeping the same temperature. So no.

yeah can, still 3 fans making the noise, I guess you would advocate for 4 fans then as well or would that just be silly?

I highly doubt this card runs hot enough to give 2 fans a workout.
Hell just double checked that:

Two fans and they dont even run on idle...and under load its the quietest there is.
So yeah no, no need for 3 fans at all.

Your entire case is as loud as the loudest fan inside.

This statement is not in-line with modern physics. And by "modern" I mean post-Enlightenment (so you must have heard of sound pressure).

And as already stated, one more fan plus more surface area could equal the same if not better temps at lower noise levels.
"Could" is the right word.
The card has been tested by legitreviews. I would not call it quiet, nor cool.

If the RX 580 was the same price as the 570 Red Devil then it makes sense to go with the 580 and it makes sense at this point to wait and see what Vega will bring anyway. I just think that Powercolor put 3 fans on that card for looks. To appeal to the type that will see 3 fans as an indication that it is a beast and needs all of that cooling.

Well yeah, but you mentioned the target consumer for the red devil range, indicating they want the most extreme stuff, an RX570 is not.
On the second point I entirely agree which is kinda what my first first first post was meant to convey :P

Wait for Gigabyte, they might deliver ... :)

Those triple fans and that shroud make it look a lot like a Strix.
