May I know what is this "Support for external fan" mentioned in the conclusion section of the review?

Whoops, that's a copy and paste from another review. Thanks!May I know what is this "Support for external fan" mentioned in the conclusion section of the review?
134, other reviewers measured it as well and all mention 134. Think W1zzard just rounded the number. Is it really 130mm wide? I had considered getting this card for a Fractal Terra build, but Powercolor's spec sheet has it as 134mm which can technically fit in the Terra, but ends up limiting the CPU cooler height. If it's actually 130mm, it allows for the larger coolers, which require GPU's under 131mm wide.
I considered that, but I wouldn't put it past other reviewers to not actually measure the card and just state what's on the spec sheet from the manufacturer. The picture that W1zzard has in the review kind of looks like it's 130mm. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/powercolor-radeon-rx-7800-xt-hellhound/images/dimensions.jpg134, other reviewers measured it as well and all mention 134. Weird, this contrasts with what kitguru mentioned.I do not look at specs sheets for dimensions, because they are so often wrong. Based on my photo I reported 130 mm, which looks plausible

That's what I did?Maybe consider making pictures with a ruler next to it? That would make it undeniable.
I meant all 3 dimensions.That's what I did?

If both are priced similarly, then really no preference. Hellhound has fixed color RGB, Phantom Gaming has adjustable RGB, maybe that matters for you. Hellhound is slightly quieterin my region there are two good options available ASRock's Radeon RX 7800 XT Phantom Gaming and Powercolor Hellhound 7800XT, I checked both reviews and found a lot of similar things, weight, heatsink, even component base, price is almost the same
apart from aesthetics, which card would you recommend, why?

I had the 6950XT Red Devil(currently awaiting be shipped off for RMA)It was hot and the fan were "server grade turbine whine" when it ramped up. I now have a Hellhound 7900XTX and I cannot find a single fault with it and especially not the fans I run my own fan curves as I always have and the highest I have seen it is 80% and it's just a gentle whoosh at best. I mean I run Noctua Industrials for case fans once they ramp up I would never be able to hear the card the 6950XT literally howled over 2500RPM 120mmm fans that are by no means quiet. But 2 things 1 Thermal>Noise for me ALWAYS. and 2 I game in 5.1 most of the time so even my howling Noctuas are barely heardThe Red Devil is also the Flagship, not the Hellhound. Awesome review though. I just had to have the Red Devil!
It comes with 2 ugly choices on the 7900XTX Aqua and Purple and thankfully OFF....Hellhound is just missing the crazy RGB and more complex designs, the Hellhound to me is also a premium model, but just more clean and with out fancy RGBs.

My Red Devil is extremely cool and quiet. I think they learned their lesson.I had the 6950XT Red Devil(currently awaiting be shipped off for RMA)It was hot and the fan were "server grade turbine whine" when it ramped up. Bottom line I HOPE your Red Devil has better fans this round because the Hellhound has impressed the hell outta me on every metric

Glad to hear that pun intended I have been a Sapphire guy since the 9800 but they are just priced to high anymore I actually wanted a Nitro 6800XT but a friend found me the Red Devil 6950XT for like $50 more so it was a no brainer but MAN those fans at full tilt(which it needed) just had such a terrible whine I play in 5.1 and run 3K Noctua Industrials you could hear that whine over all of it...My Red Devil is extremely cool and quiet. I think they learned there lesson.

Dang that’s a bummer it was so loud. I almost picked up an XFX 6950XT back when it was on sale over the summer but decided to wait. This one is definitely quiet. I used to just manually set it at 75% and you can barely hear it over the rest of my system fans and it is a very smooth, low hum. I noticed 75% was definitely overkill since the temps are very low. At 65% and lower, it’s not audible over anything else. With 60% being completely silent and still not seeing over 48c while playing my go to game, Battlefield 2042, that’s where I’ve left it. My case does have really good airflow and an additional fan below the GPU sending air upward so ymmv.Glad to hear that pun intended I have been a Sapphire guy since the 9800 but they are just priced to high anymore I actually wanted a Nitro 6800XT but a friend found me the Red Devil 6950XT for like $50 more so it was a no brainer but MAN those fans at full tilt(which it needed) just had such a terrible whine I play in 5.1 and run 3K Noctua Industrials you could hear that whine over all of it...
I am glad I am RMAing it and just grabbed a new card on a deal.

Yeah I actually need to look yours up and yeah I did and they are using the same fans I get the same experience as you and noise. I just snapped this one up as it was a Demo and well I didn't hate Powercolor and a Nitro was ALOT more, I have zero regrets the card regularly boosts over 2800 but maintains at least 2700 and the HotSpot Ive never seen above 85C in the most demanding stuff and maintains a 20C Delta so I couldn't ask for a better example I wouldn't mind seeing a Time Spy score just to see how much dropping a tier lost/gained me. I do not have great airflow so even the fact nothing has changed with my case this card doesn't "cook" in my case like the other one despite it using a good bit more power but generating alot less heat.Dang that’s a bummer it was so loud. I just tested out an XFX 6800 SWFT non XT for a co-worker and dang that was sooo much louder with high pitch fan noise than the Powercolor.
