I am in between cases (Junsbo and CM Elite 120) using the stock cooler on a 5600x.

In the Junsbo, I ha 3 120 mm fans at the bottom, pushing fresh air in, hitting the gpu fist, then spreading around until is pushed out at the top. I will tell you, that exhaust air was really hot.
As a general observation of mine, hot exhaust air isn't necessarily a bad thing. It just means a lot of heat is transferred to the cooler and then to the air effectively.

The exhaust air after my 7800X3D feels cold, but the CPU runs at 85 ˚C at full load. While the 11700 was in my main rig, exhaust air was quite warm with a similar 85 ˚C core temp. The difference is that the 7800X3D eats 80 W max, while the 11700 pulled more than twice as much (around 170-180 W).

Agreed. But the reason i mentioned that is because the cpu was close to the area which was exhausting that hot air and I’m pretty sure that a 5600x doesn’t produce that much heat.

So i assume that poor cpu was fighting for some relief of the inferno surrounding it. :D

I have a Ryzen 5700X that has hosted, at various times, an open air 290X and a blower Vega 64. In the same case, the CPU temperature increased by nearly 10 C when the GPU had an open air cooler. Increasing the case fans' speed decreased that delta, but it was still there.

I never had a temp issue with my setup and its not a blower
I haven't had issues as such, but I've noticed that the rest of the system is hotter with the open air cooler. In any case, given the extinction of blowers in gaming GPUs, we have no choice.
 
We can only go so far with just air until we start placing baffles and 3D print ducts to ram air into specific places with enough pressure that makes it exhaust by positive coefficient elsewhere in case that is not being spot-cooled.

As promised, did some testing and these are the results:

CPU idle: 57C
Prime95 after 5 minutes: 90C
GPU idle.

Same test as above but also stressing the GPU:

CPU Prime95 after 5 minutes: 95.1C

GPU stress only:

CPU idle: 68C

Mind you, this in on my Elite 120, which I cant place the cover on because the GPU blocks parts of it so its wide open and has a Artic 120mm Max up front.

The fan placement plus no cover seems to help the NVME temps, since those didnt change, regardless of the test.

So 5-10 degrees depending on the scenario. I guess it could be nothing or something depending on how hot your CPU runs. 95 ˚C is a bit too hot, imo.

The Elite 120 is simply not that good for CPU cooling and remember that I'm using the 5600X stock cooler.

But at this point, I wont be making any big changes since I want to upgrade the CPU, which means mobo, mem, cpu and cooler.

Given my current situation, I might move back to the Junsbo, since I dont want to change my current PSU and assuming that I end up doing the mentioned upgrade.
