I know what you mean about being bare. Although most driving simulators generally have this characteristic (though to a lesser extent than what is apparent in Assetto Corsa, I'm hoping it will improve as the game is continually developed). I also own Assetto Corsa and i have tried Project Cars once (at a friend's house at the beginning of this year so things could have changed by now), personally I prefer Assetto Corsa for the driving experience. The last simulator for me to feel that good was Live For Speed which is now ancient albeit still rather good especially the tyre physics imo. I think Project Cars will be a great game when I comes out but I just wasn't satisfied with the driving experience compared to Assetto Corsa (it may have been improved by now though I'm not sure). Driving the Abarth 500 in Assetto Corsa felt EXTREMELY similar to my Citroen DS3 which I take to the track on almost a biweekly basis. The lift-off oversteer I found to be almost perfect and inline with what I experience with my car in real life on the track ( I even simulated one of my 'offs' that I did at Queensland Raceway in the game). Although nothing can beat real G-forces though
I'm still going to get Project Cars for sure though. It still drives very nicely and looks absolutely stunning, especially when it is raining.
Oh I also LFS S2
but the x360 joypad is not included, unfortunately; I once used a steering wheel (without force feedback) but there has years of this. Now I expect my G27s. I was Skins on LFS too
.. driving at night in the rain very interested; I love the endurance races (nürburgring nordschleife 25 laps, 50 laps of Le Mans Sarthe, ....) it a few years ago I played Forza Motorsport 4 (and we did a lot of enduro racing and endless it was REALLY good!) I am looking for as best they could game with pit management , vehicle settings, etc etc ... so I put on a lot PCARS because currently AssettoCorsa is too far
Also I saw a catalyst profile for Project Cars and for Assetto side there is nothing. I have a friend that is running an R9 290x at 35fps and it is not much better with my crossfire R9 280X Toxic. Profile catalyst that puts the chip in the ear that will finally optmisation of the game.
it's frustrating to see so much less powerful gaming consoles that our computers have racing games (Sim) as complete. (even if it's not at Assetto or PCARS) ... ^^
Assetto Corsa in 1920x1080 = 45/50 fps (with my crossfire)
Assetto Corsa in 5760x1080 = 27/32 fps (with my crossfire) and with 5 others IA or gamers.
Assetto Corsa in 5760x1080 = 35/60 fps (with my crossfire) alone in practice mode.
edit : The graphical optimization is missing on "Assetto Corsa". unfortunately.
