QPAD's newest high-performance headset, the QH-90, gets put to the test. This headset features some brilliantly performing 53mm drivers and a highly ergonomic design. Priced at €99, this headset is sure to mix things up in the sub €100 price category.

Hey Frederik,

Quick check on the QPAD site I saw QH-1339 - which are sporting USB connection... any hopes to see your review on those? they look like audiophile grade cans...
also any review of Corsair made headphones (mainly Vengence 1500 or 2000)?

The QH-1339 are identical to these: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/beyerdynamic/MMX_300/

Co-developed by QPAD and Beyer back in the day. I think the new ones are better price performance wise.
Thanks for the feedback - indeed on the web site beyerdynamics are mentioned as manufacturer...
to me the curious point was that they had USB connection... although personally I don't feel comfortable spending that much amount of money for head(phones/sets)...

Maybe we can get some Corsair headsets for review.
I do hope so... ;)

because of USB & budget reasons, I asked about Corsair, since those look like ones that get a lot of (very positive) attention from reviewers... ;)

P.S.
maybe I could use some advice from you?
Since I rebuild my PC and moved to miniITX build, I had to ditch my sound card... So now my Roccat Kave lost the attraction (even after fiddling with equalizer, the things got bit better, but still far from what I got used to);
and now I'm in search of good (mainly for gaming) cans in the range 100-150 euros... I already saw quite some reviews, but that will require some reading and checking shops for prices... :D
so kind of hoping you could supply some kind of 'preference list'?
Maybe you could actually make something similar what Toms Hardware does for their reviews on GPU & SSDs...

The QPAD QH-90s are the obvious choice in that price range. I have heard the Corsairs on a number of occasions and they are not in the same league.

I was gonna buy those headphones, then i discovered they arent found in the US, then i discovered the DT880, which let to spending 200usd in a sound card with amp :(

At first I was like, well considering that Beyerdynamic is behind this it's not gonna cost any less than $200. Then I saw the price to be ~$100, now this could be a winner. I wish Qpad was more relevant in the states, their CT pads are amazing.

I recommend the audio technica ATH-AD700 for gaming or the Sennheiser hd 555 which is great for everything, music and Gaming, I personally have the 555 and it's an amazing all around headphones, in gaming I can hear steps from a distance, now there is the new version of the 555 which is the 558 and it's even better, also its very comfortable you wouldn't even feel it on your head and the cans are big and fit easily any ear size, both headphones are without a mic , i personally prefer it that way, just use detachable Mic .
