Question Dual physical bios not working?

I have an Asus dual 4060 evo card. There is the following description for this card on Asus' own page:

"Dual BIOS
Smart choice
Do you prioritize low core temperature or low noise level? Performance mode keeps the fans spinning to keep the cards cool at all times. Quiet mode maintains the same power target and high-end settings, but implements a less aggressive fan schedule for quieter operation at mid-range temperatures. For more customization and control options, check out GPU Tweak III software."

However, even though I put it in performance mode, neither the fans are spinning nor the MHz is increasing. I would be glad if you could help me.

^ Yep, BIOS switching is a not a real-time function. Sometimes you even have to cut power entirely for it to switch over.

He would also be advised to use the software asus suggests after he restarts.

Yes I did but the situation is the same there is no difference

Yes, I do this but there is no difference, neither the fan speed nor the MHz increases.

For example, if I put the switch in P mode and make adjustments using the program recommended by Asus, will those settings be saved to the P switch?

With a lower tier card like 4060, I'm pretty sure that it's more a marketing thing with its dual bios feature. The card boosts already as high as the bios lets and it doesn't need to have a higher fan speed.

Have you manually overclocked it? Maybe then there would be a marginal difference.

As I said, I already tried those other things but the situation is the same.

It does not work as written here

He even mentioned as much. If he is using the software to fuck with the card of course the inherent bios features aren’t going to work. They also seem to think that modifications to the software save to the bios; so it seems there are two issues happening here.

No, I didn't do any OC. And I don't use it in the software. I bought the graphics card yesterday and the switch does not work like this.

Well then email asus, they engineered the card

For more customization and control options, check out GPU Tweak III software

Dual BIOS

Choose wisely

Do you prioritize low core temps or low noise levels? Performance mode will let the fans spin up to keep the card running cool all the time. Quiet mode keeps the same power target and top-end settings, but offers a less aggressive fan curve for quieter operation at medium temps. For even more customization and control, check out our GPU Tweak III software.
If I understand correctly the difference between the 2 VBIOS is only fan speed and only on medium temp.
At the end... slightly different fan curve at mid temps.

No early fan speeding, no increase in MHz, no different power target.
"GPU Tweak III" software for more...

It would be in the best interest for him to talk to Asus support in his own languaguage since I believe he doesn't understand what is being written here.

Ah, so they overlap. Gets even more interesting.
