Heres a pic of the damage on the front side of the card ... across the pcie pins. Ya I might try a tiny dab of conductive silver paint across the gouge lines on the worst pins around the middle area first and see what happens. Only thing with the paint or paste is everyone is saying it does not bond well or conduct very well either. As well as flake off. Think I am going to need a microscope first though to do this. One touching shorted pin will probly toast the card and worse the mobo I plug it into. Don't want that lol

I understand that but what can they do that cannot do myself. Except charge me for services a 12 year old can do. I have spent 55 years doing things myself lol .. no fancy fake degrees or tens of thousands of dollars in student debt and still working at McDonalds lol. Just point me in the right direction .. don't need my hand held .. or pay my way through life. Any real advice appreciated thanks all.

Try something like these from a local store online:

I did the most balanced for image quality and performance without ray tracing in Cyberpunk 2077: (Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6750 XT at default)

Just looked at the reported video memory and apparently, I have an "11 GiB" card, as if it were an 'RTX 2080 or 'RTX 2070, LOL. ("11 GB" is a meme for Turing RTX) (2080, maybe 2070?)

I run all Ultra (with SSR at High) + XeSS Quality so it's almost constantly over 100 FPS. Same 1440p (on a 1080p panel). Love this smoothness more than I love image quality (which is honestly impossible to achieve at reasonable framerates on 6700 XT).

How so? The 21:9 aspect ratio was the only reason I upgraded from 1080p. The extra FoV is nice.

First off, 3440x1440 didn't seem to benefit Beam NG, just resulted in FPS loss. Until I can upgrade the graphics, looks like I'll be lucky to even get 2560x1440 on the new stuff, other than e-sports.

thats graphics power deprivation right there! One of the reasons, seeing 30/40-series prices, I stopped dead in my tracks for my long-standing desire to shift up to 1440-ultrawide or 4K.

Looks like I’m riding the standard 1440p train straight to the afterlife. Even at 2560x1440 some of my most played games are GPU-hamstrung (RTX 3080). I'm still getting good performance but some titles required some careful tweaking with a mix of med-high-ultra settings with a balance of keeping the visuals from being noticeably compromised and hitting an average of 90fps+. For me thats borderline "TAKE-MY-MONEY" territory right there.

If not for the the 21:9 aspect ratio, I would have ridden the 1080p train to the afterlife. Ever since 1080p, I've never felt the need to upgrade just for more pixels. The extra field of view is nice, though.

Heads up! I changed the TIM last night on the RX 6750 XT, due to the hotspot issue. The TIM paste is thick! It's Corsair XTM70. There shouldn't be "pump out" with that stuff.

The problem is, I need to test it and it's possible that it got F-ed up!

Update: Looks like the RX 6750 XT didn't get damaged. It looked good for room-temp air. Most of the time, didn't even reach 70C for the hotspot at stock.

This is now on my Ryzen 7 5800X3D rig now. It has 11 24H2 with Adrenalin 24.12.1.

Late to the party, but that's how I roll with technology these days.

I just upgraded to the ASRock Challenger version of the 6700xt. It’s a big jump from the 5600xt that it replaced. I've already got it undervolted and I actually dropped the power limit as low as I could. It's a pretty solid result while producing less heat. I'd need to bump up in PSU to go the other direction.

It feels stupid, that only the 6X00 series are capable of running at higher TDP values, as it's locked out with 7x00 or even 9x00 series.

Still value my 6700XT peaking at 250W and avg 2.7Ghz clocks.

I'm really impressed by the results when lowering the power limit as low as I can (-6%), and I dropped voltage curve to 91%. GPU clock still stays around 2500mhz, but temps are mid 60s, hotspot won't hit 80, and power draw is about 165W in the SOTR bench. So far that's stable through a few hours of games, with quite a bit less heat and power. I almost scrimped and went with the 6650XT/7600, but I figured the extra RAM might be handy, plus I have a 1440p monitor. I was running into games where the 6GB limit of the 5600XT was being realized, so I had my doubts that 8GB would be comfy for the future. I don't intend to upgrade for a while. I had a 5600XT for a few years.

I still have it laying around for when I clean/redo my custom loop, but just never seem to find the time for it, always something else pops-up :shadedshu: (or maybe I'm in denial :D).
On the other hand, I've got AC MX4 on it now (for almost two years straight on) and due to the excellent cooling of the Alphacool Eisblock GPX the GPU never exceeds 45 Celsius, so no urgent need to change.

I'm really impressed by the results when lowering the power limit as low as I can (-6%), and I dropped voltage curve to 91%. GPU clock still stays around 2500mhz, but temps are mid 60s, hotspot won't hit 80,
If the Delta-T of the GPU & hotspot is less than 20C, the current applied TIM is still performing fine in my opinion. Mostly overlooked is a decent airflow of fresh (cold) air towards the fans of the GPU cooler and the biggest gains (cooling wise) are there to achieve.

but like always, this is my interpretation so feel free to disagree ;).

Temps seem pretty good to me to not mess with things. I do have 3 big intake fans, and I had modded my case to bring way more airflow in from the front (drilled a few hundred holes in the mostly solid plastic front). I also put a -0.06v on my 2667v2. When it’s all said and done, my total power draw from the wall went down a solid 50W under gaming load. I feel a lot better about peaks under 400W.
