The ambidextrous Rapoo VT9 Air comes with PixArt's PAW3395 sensor, Omron switches for the main buttons, and a 61 g lightweight build. In addition, it is capable of true 8000 Hz in both wired and wireless operation, and up to 160 hours of battery life are cited.

That click latency= travel to china, checked, then executed.

TPU should give them award for the highest latency

I am not even sure how they achieved latency this high. As mentioned in the review, office mice from a decade and a half ago do better in this regard. And it’s not like the hardware used is trash or anything, it feels like almost a deliberate self-sabotage. What, you haven’t done any in-house testing? Honestly, seems like mostly a firmware bug and fixable. Whether they will or not is another thing entirely.

While I am here, @pzogel, do you have any way to get a Keychron M4 for a review? That thing seemed like a meme initially, but from what I’ve seen and read it seems like a hidden gem, basically a more (vastly) budget alternative to fingertip-only mice like the M2K (M3K) and the HSK.

I've been looking into sourcing a sample, but held off on doing so until my review pipeline clears up a little. With a bit of luck, I'll have a review at some point.

How the hell is the click latency that bad :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
@pzogel Does the review sample have the latest firmware btw? Just checking

Here's the current software that me (and the guy who sold me the mouse) are both using. Not sure if you have the latest version

Interesting. I'll have to check this.
It's version 1.6.2 btw - I have a Google Drive link available if you want (or anyone wants)

That's the version I was using, too, and straight from Rapoo's official site. Are you certain that you're using the VT9 Air and not the VT9 Pro 4K?

Yeah it shows VT9Air here for me. Go have a look

Would you mind sharing the download link? I'll check how it looks with my sample then.

I'll dm you the link real quick then

Sad 20ms I was considering buying this same mouse :(

I have VT9 Pro Rapoo mouse but not Air version and I have the same software update.. Make sure to update the dongle, firmware, and the software..
and Rapoo website software section doesn't guarantee latest update. they have so many endpoint they have EU, CN, US, IN the CN version is where I get my software.

firmware can only be updated if you plugged the wire in. Also I think all software for VT9 will look the same.
Hope you retest.. if it still says 20ms I will not use any Rapoo mouse anymore.

It's just don't make any sense 4k and 1k = 20ms both like how does it even happened. is it the debounce?
What if you change the debounce to 1ms on the latest software. and its still 20ms :( I hope not.

Is it RapooGameDevDriver_Setup_1.6.2_20240412? That's the one that I found for it
Yes that's it but you still have to check for the firmware, dongle and the software updates after you installed it.. make sure your mouse is in wired mode so you can update its firmware.
The firmware update is a big must, its easy to forget it because u can't update it via wireless mode.

Ahh thank you,

So basically install the newest software:

Plugin mouse update mouse
Plugin dongle update dongle

Then I should be good to go? I don't have the mouse yet, but I am using it's PCB for a custom project so I'll update it before I start working with it
