Razer, the world's leading high-end precision gaming brand, is emerging from the shadows to unleash a flurry of hurt with the Razer BlackWidow Stealth Edition mechanical gaming keyboards. Both the Ultimate and Standard versions of this hardcore mechanical keyboard have been refitted with a keyset that offers tactility but with a quieter feedback for the true silent assassins of gaming.

The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Edition also comes with extreme anti-ghosting. This is an improvement over the traditional anti-ghosting matrix when it allows up to 6 simultaneous key presses anywhere on the keyset so your orchestra of destruction is executed in its entirety.

"Where the first Razer BlackWidow can be likened to a barbarian ploughing through enemies with ease, the Stealth Edition of this mechanical keyboard is the ninja who sneaks up on opponents unexpectedly to take them down in a quick blur," said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, President, Razer USA. "Quieter feedback on the keys, lighter actuation force, extreme anti-ghosting on the Ultimate version, and a new matte black finish make the Stealth Edition of the Razer BlackWidow keyboards the best choice for the unassuming but extremely deadly gamer."

Both Ultimate and Standard versions of the Razer BlackWidow Stealth Edition are now available exclusively on Razerzone.

Rounding that off with backlighting, additional macro keys, and on-the-fly macro recording, the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Edition is a weapon of ruthless power.

Which set of switches does it use? Cherry MX Blacks or MX Browns? I read that whole post and then went to the link and nothing no mention of which keys it uses!

Im not a fan at all of the original Blackwidow, Cherry MX Blues are less than ideal for gaming and the construction was less than i expected im keen to see if this is the same with new keys.

If they say tactile, they should be MX Browns.

yes, looking at the actuation force, and tactility, this keyboard should be using MX Brown.

Wow I might become an unassuming but deadly gamer:rolleyes: oh but 2 find a key board with green back lighting that's instock.....

I still hate the glossy body on these. They are literally impossible to keep looking good. If they release a flat black version with Browns, that would be a near-ideal keyboard for the gamer/typist.

might grab this if it is cherry brown, got Xarmor with browns and its amazing!

They come in matte black not the glossy finish

Seems over priced especially when you consider the fact it will break 6 months after you buy it.

I wonder if they have fixed the broken spacebar problem.

Guys as i remember in old news, it's cherry mx blue

this is not old news, they are different. the old blackwidow/blackwidow ultimate uses mx blue, i'm pretty sure these stealth editions use mx browns. because mx browns are much quieter than mx blues

Yup. Browns require ever so slightly less force to push down, too (blues are 50g actuation force).

Hmm, this may be the first truegaming keyboard I get...

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth

I just pulled the trigger on this to replace my aging Saitek Eclipse. I did a lot of research and as this is going to be my 1st mechanical keyboard. I was trying to find a MX Red keyboard that was backlit and that led to an exhaustive, fruitless search

This keyboard has a good look to it. It appears to use MX Brown switches that require 45g actuation force, has a nice gaming mode to disable the windows key and 5 different levels of brightness for the LED

They are still placing that macro key beside ctrl though. Crouching frustration.
