Razer Announces Updated Blade Gaming Laptop

ever heard of niche products ppl? this is it, they usually cost a bunch and not many are sold

stop bitchin about the price bc those who does wouldnt be able to afford it anyway :)

"Max Screen Resolution 1366 x 768 pixels"

Yeah, no.

It's marked wrong by Amazon. Scroll down, reviews are 1080p and so are the Lenovo specs. The Amazon specs says the 660m is 2MB too, not GB lol.

Sooo yeah my Asus g75 has an i7 3610qm which is a 3rd generation i7 quad core processor with hyperthreading , it has a 17.3 inch 1080p screen and a nvidia gtx 660m as well as a 1tb hard drive. And I payed ~$1350 for it, is the Razer branding really worth ~$1000?

The fancy touchpad? :wtf:

Cool and fancy but honestly what besides that could even be factored into that much of a markup? Besides the small SSD and with 120gb SSD's still going for $80-$100 putting one in a laptop is nothing.

Razer makes laptops?

Apple has that too.

Better look at it a little closer:wtf: Unless they started taping iPhones to Mac Books when I wasn't looking;)

It was a joke. There is nothing that justifies the premium over Darkloco's ASUS or the Lenovo bretts31344 linked

Its the keyboard and slim profile you're paying for.

Laptop gaming is a joke so pass, but I have to give Razer a nod for trying something different.

And Lenovo. Well at least my Y580 has it. 15.6 screen vs the 17.3 but its still 1080 and was only $999.

So yeah...either way you put it...Apple, Razer = both overpriced hunks of plastic.

I agree laptop gaming is a bit of a joke but it is convenient when I have something with me and I could LAN with friends or just (for my line of work anyway) have something I could use to just work on. Razer's laptop looks awesome but if I had to choose between this and a rMBP it would be a tough one.

I do have to be honest though I am a huge gamer and when I saw this I was a bit jealous that windows user get stuff(I have a pretty neat desktop!) like this as well as a huge library of games and my rMBP only gets stuff like Blizzard games and Valve games. They're good and I mean all I am typically competitive at is CS:GO and LoL, so I don't care about the other games but it would be nice to go through rage or any other game like that. I don't understand the hate between Macbook Pro and a Windows laptop I use both for different stuff and I can tell you that neither of them are perfect and if it's an argument about gaming? That's dumb of course it will be Windows as most developers develop for windows right? I guess I am kind of leaking into my own irritations with people and gaming/laptops etc but fact of the matter is I can play Valve and Blizzard games even the unofficial LoL client without ANY hiccups on my Macbook Pro.

My 1st laptop was a AlienWare M5750.

17" 1920x1080 panel, Core 2 Duo T2500 Processor, and a ATi Mobility Radeon X1800.

Tried to upgrade to a X1900XT but that was next to imposiable as the supplier always ran out of stock and to even find the mxm X1900 was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

But getting to the point the 5750 was pretty thin but it was awkward carrying it around at school. Which pretty much got me into the point that 13~15" is the perfect size for mobility and work. anything beyond that is a desktop replacement and who is Razer trying to kid? No PC gamer buys a freaking desktop replacement PC to actually replace their gaming rig.

So here we have a ePeen only rig that'll have a low sales volume.

Actually, Apple uses Aluminum chassis now. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a laptop that has less plastic than a Mac now.

For me, when it comes to a gaming laptop, the first thing is - how good is the cooling. Idk how these manufacturers make such designs for "gaming" laptops.

I am planning to buy one myself, how is the cooling? I heard its all on the rear, so the keyboard area doesnt get warm?

True?

2500$ and you put a shit like GTX 660M?? Are you f**g kidding me?!?
