Razer Launches, Uhm, Finger Sleeves, for Touchscreen Control

If you're a mobile gamer, then Razer might have a product for you, especially if you have problems with greasy marks on your screen, or sweaty fingers. Razer's new gaming Finger Sleeves are here to save your mobile device from grease smudges and sweaty fingers, while at the same time promising to improve your gaming, of course.

The finger sleeves are made from a "smooth, high-sensitivity fabric" that has conductive silver fibers woven into it to enhance touch sensitivity and response, while reducing friction. It all sounds like a bit of a gimmick to say the least, as further down on its product page, Razer mentions nylon and spandex, so it looks like the finger sleeves are yoga pants for your fingers.



The 0.8 mm breathable material is said to be sweat-absorbent, although it also seems like wearing these finger condoms sleeves would make your fingers hotter and you'd sweat more. It all might seem like a poorly timed April Fools joke, but you can get the finger sleeves from Razer's shop right now, for a not insignificant US$9.99 a piece or possibly per pair.

I like using thumb socks as a way to help me cope with my pretty severe thumb picking. I do it without even realizing it, but supposedly it could be tied to my anxiety. I'd definitely get a pair of these.

These are actually really useful for games that demand lots of swiping, but this price for a pair (I think, it doesn't actually say anywhere) is too expensive. The silver rusts? over time and they need to be replaced periodically.

I can relate, I used to bite the skin off mine a decade ago.

Moisturiser is the solution - once everything's healed up there's nothing to pick at if the skin isn't dry and damaged in the first place and after a couple of years like that the subconscious habit vanished for me entirely.
