Resident Evil 4 Remake: FSR 2.1

another fail by AMD.

they really should have never put so many resources in trying to match DLSS, and instead focused on optimizing and more raster performance. FSR has been junk for awhile now.

Dont agree at all, looking at the screenshots there is a noticeable difference, but when I look at the video, cant see a damn thing different, its one of those "when not pixel peeping and actually playing the game" it works perfectly fine.

What's up with the FPS greed?

I'm still on 1650gtx and don't mind the lower FPS as much as I do mind adulterated graphics.

Why is high FPS so important to you guys? Have you fallen to marketing ploys or do I fail to understand something important here?

For me, as long as I can play on native resolution and highest textures (because they contain actual game content) at at least 25fps average, it's okay.

I think that's probably just a case of ignorance is bliss... Once you get use to playing games at 4k 120hz on a 65 inch oled it's impossible to go back. While I can still enjoy a 60 fps game for the most part anything lower than that is jarring.

I much rather have 4k DLSS quality at 120fps than native at like 80fps. Everyone has to decide for themselves how they want to play games most the time somones budget decides that for them though.

The game matters a lot as well. There are a lot of MP FPS games where 240hz+ and matching FPS is what you want. Then there are games like Street Fighter which are engine locked at 60 FPS internally to make some combos work where that's really the target. Then their single player games where it really doesn't matter all that much and you are going for graphics.

This is really a case of the game and it's genre mattering more than just raw performance or raw details. I've got friends who really like turn based stuff where high frame rates mean nothing and that's all they place on their PC. You also have people with crap like 4090s that wouldn't touch 4k if you gave it to them for free but they do care about their 360hz.

I have a 4k 120hz OLED and a 4k capable PC but I don't play PC games on it and I never will. I play quick shooters at 240hz at 1080p on my PC. The switch and PS5 get the 4k screen which is sort of funny.

It's just that most recent games are so bad that people have lost the essence of playing to enjoy the games, get lost in the story, get distracted...Then running bad, generic and repetitive gameplay games with high fps is the consolation prize .

Stay away from AAA titles and realize that most often the better the graphics look the shittier the game will be!

When you have something trying to kill you, I am pretty sure a light degradation in image quality (Eye of the Beholder.) is meaningless at best. FSR is well implemented in this game.

I have to agree 50% with your comment. Many great AAA games that deserve the AAA mention. While many other AAA games are pretty graphics with shitty gameplay.
